I think a ridley fight does benefit from having a hefty dose of supers. knowing that we don't waste time clollecting them on the way to ridly hardly at all
Well all the differences over the course of the game are minor but do add up. For any% it's about 3 minutes slower at hotarubi speed. 100% it's about 5 minutes
I think the japanese and american carts are the same arnt they?
Really don't know... I have the American version, but it's a little uggly as i don't have the box. Also i'm looking for a Snes on the web and sometimes i look for a Super Metroid Cart too, and there's some beauty but too expensive. Is your cart like new? I frequently see the japanense version and it's prittiest than the american, but sometimes i see the european version. I thought the Japanense was the PAL version.
nah I played it on the wii virtual console as a download. It plays identical to the snes.
PAL is european
Yup. I have the snes and the cart as well but my controller was getting ruined by my playing so i had to switch back to playing it on the wii, which Ive had on there for about 2 to 3 years anyway
Oh i see... So your SDA record was actually played on the wii? So was it easier to Record the run or you have the same problems if it was recorded on the Snes?
The Japanese Cartridge is slightly different then the American Cartridge. Not game play wise but, in its design to only work on a Japanese or American Console. BTW I play on a Wii as well because I couldn't find any working SNES Controllers. I personally like the Wii better because the Classic Controller Pro is more comfortable for my hands.
For the Supers in a 100% run, don't forget you also get five in Golden Torizo's room, and you have to wait for him to drop, so you lose no time getting them. Maybe even collect them as he dies.
Yea that is the 2nd of the 2 super expansions I mentioned.
Golden torizo can give you tons of supers in a short time frame. He's the key to getting many before ridley, if you take that choice to kill ridley with just supers
I think the better way to get those Supers without loosing time is dropping the power bomb when falling after getting the missile on his room. The reason is that to the power bomb reach the Super area, you have to jump and drop it and if i remember correctly, Gold Torizo will fall only if you pass walking or running under him. So if you jump to get them he will not fall till you're on the ground.
Golden Torizo drops once you've gone far enough to the right, so as long as you deliberately jump forward a little as you go for the Missiles, you shouldn't have any trouble in getting him to drop down.
I came up with a faster way through the norfair rising lava room. It is very difficult (took me a billion tries to record... from a savestate right at the beginning of the room >_>) but you don't lose any time trying it. If you miss the damage boost, you can just morph and roll the rest of the way. There might be a faster way at the end of it too, instead of hopping those little pillars, but I couldn't find any. Maybe you guys can give it a shot?
I keep getting 'Unsupported version' errors from everybody's videos. Most annoying. I thought everybody was using the custom rerecording version of snes9x for all movies, as it had better features. Is everybody just using the latest instead?
