the block doesn't matter, the Super Missile still goes through the gate, the water doesn't matter either

Argh, gonna fix this in the next update too. I never thought it would be possible in water being suitless, thanks for proving the opposite.

BlueGlass:
I think that would be the room right above the refill station. Use PBs there. And right, I got some ideas from RBO.
I was hoping it wouldn't be there, as I was already in the fireflea room with the etank grabbed.  I ended up redoing the end of the Torizo fight, leaving Lower Norfair without grabbing the etank, and going back with full equipment so I can completely refill my Supers before continuing.

Also, I made a topic about your hack over at gamefaqs
Bangaa Bishop
I think i'm going to have to wait for Super Metroid Slightly Less Impossible... this is just crazy. >.>
Saturn, what possessed you to increase Ridley's health?  And am I currently missing any supers?  I have 35.
About Ridley: To make him worth being the semi-last boss. Maybe you missed 1 Super Pack but I don't remember for sure.
Hmm, I think I kind of broke the sequence as well (nothing major, though, but definitaly worth it):
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
I done that with Space Jump Rolling Eyes , but you should be able to do by Wall-Jumping the spikes
Quote from P.JMan:

It's actually easier: jump out of the lava, do 2-3 midair bomb jumps, ram onto the spikes, get them to propel you and jump off of them to the right. I tried walljumping off the spikes in the first place, but my invulnerability wore off before I was able to do that (and the second hit killed me anyways).

Also, I managed to get Space Jump by careful rolling under the beetoms...
/spoiler?/
...and guess what? The door remained grey. Note that I'm using SMI v1.0 and ZSNES v1.50. So, whatever you did there to open the door (which would be trivial from this point if it indeed would've been triggered to flash) was very, very, very strange.
YES!!  Varia suit!
I think the Ridley fight required somewhere along the lines of 15-20 savestates.  I had about ten energy left when the health appeared.

Going in, I had 11 etanks and 40 supers, ten of which I lost CFing.

EDIT:
So, I just went and grabbed the Spring Ball...  And found out I could have gotten it the whole time!  That was seroiusly just mean.  Plasma beam would have been so useful in Lower Norfair.

EDIT2: Saturn, I'm wondering if I got these items in the way you intended:
the etank below where the charge beam used to be I got without Gravity by doing a short charge

the gauntlet etank I reached via a CF and left the area with the aid of the Yapping Maw.

the Supers past Botwoon I also got via CF, but I then found the super missile block I should have used

the missile/super duo in the snail room: first I shinesparked up to clear the speedbooster blocks normally leading to the items, the I used a snail to glitch through the cieling to the missiles, then I went back to the rest of the room, removing the bottom two sets of crumble blocks leading out of the area, then I used another snail to glitch through the last set of crumble blocks.

Also, is the xray scope still in the hack?
Now playing. crazy difficulty!  aiwebs_016

Where to go after Draygon?
I have

6 e-tank
3 reserve tank
70 missiles
15 supers
10 power bombs
grappling beam
charge beam
spazer
hi-jump
speed booster
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
You'll wanna find all the expansions and tanks and Space Jump and go to Lower Norfair
OK, I found the way back to green brinsta. thank you grin new

Oh man, except the Charge Beam Etank I NEVER intended you to get the other items THAT crazy way! Shocked

I won't change this items, if one is that smart to get past the barriers I placed, well then he deserves to get them. :)

And the X-Ray scope is sure in the hack.

catnap:
P.JMan is right, good luck for the further quests.

P.Jman:
If you have anything to say to your early Space Jump strangness, please do so to help me solve the problem. The only way to get it, is to pass the grey door. But how the heck can one make it blue without killing the enemies there?
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
I dunno, I got the Space Jump and the door started flashing. It might have something to do with Spazer or Kraid

Anyway there is nothng I can think of to use it for
Okay..I'm stuck in norfair for now, I have 10 missiles and I don't know what to do next, I saw that I had to go in norfair in a earlier post but... I'm really stuck! Help, someone, plesae?
CymicX:
Go to Crocomire.

I updated the patch to v1.2 now. Crocomire's energy tank sequence-breaker is still possible, just somewhat later, but therefore another tank is delayed somewhere else. Also fixed the green gate glitch in Maridia P.JMan showed before.

And on second thought I just had to fix the Items BlueGlass breaked through in a crazy way, mostly because the legit ways to get to them would be ignored otherwise, which is not good.
I´m sorry if i post a stupid question, but...
After Phantoon, i am supposed to go to Maridia through "backdoor", right? How did you guys get there? I mean, i can´t get past the water section right after Wrecked Ship. That last big gap between those platforms is too big for me to jump over it. I tried morphing in the air but at best i am still "a couple of pixels" short... :(

Oh, and nice hack, so far it has been quite awesome, because i just love running around in norfair without varia and i reckon i will also enjoy bouncing in maridia without gravity. Kudos Saturn!

Thanks!

There aren't any stupid questions. You can clear the gap by doing a optimal jump,
you just have to disable HJ Boots for it. :P
HJ Boots often have disadvantages in flat rooms where long jumps are required, so I simply wanted to show it's limit clearly in this hack.

How could you defeat Ridley without Plasma?

I tested Ridley's health.  He turns red when it drops below 9000, and my 30 Supers plus 1 missile made him change colors.  So I very quickly hit him with all my supers, then started pumping him full of missiles until I had hit him with 90, at which point I jumped into his claw.  It required a good bit of manipulating his attacks to allow for as many missile shots as possible (lots of leftward tail-bouncing), but I just barely managed to win.

But wouldn't constant missile fire be more damaging to Ridley than charged plasma?  Missiles can do 600 damage a second if fired optimally, and charged plasma causes, IIRC, 450 a shot, at one shot per second.

Also, if you're expecting people to get the spring ball without Gravity, you should put some indicatio that there's a grapple block just offscreen.  The room doesn't scroll upward until Samus moves up the gap, and I'm not sure jumping up that gap is possible.  (and if it is, there's no need for the grapple block, because walljumping up a one-space gap underater is just as easy as repeately pressing jump).

Also, plasma would have been extrmely handy against Golden Torizo.  I had to pound it with Supers, hope it dropped more Supers, and do a good bit of manipulaing its attacks.

I searched all over the rooms and couldn't find the proper ways to get to the items.  I found a morph ball tunnel in the cieling of the snail room, but it led to a dead end.  And where in the world were we supposed to find the space to charge the speedbooster in between the missiles and supers?

In what area?  I've run out of places to look.

Indeed, I didn't realize that Missiles do even more damage in the end, so I only tested with Supers + Plasma. Using your strategy it seems to be almost usless here.

And regarding Golden Torizo, he is immune against all kinds of charged shots, so having Plasma here won't make a difference at all.

I do not. It's possible, but I don't intent to make a noob-indication to it. The one who isn't afraid to try everything out will surely find it in time (which after all isn't even that necessary anyway). 8-)

This Super Missile isn't required at all except for the 100% collection, so I just added a extremely short charge requirement for it. I simply want that every advanced and hard technique has to be used to get everything in this hack, even if it might require a slowdown in just this case.

The hole to the Missile is not a dead end. Too bad you found it not the way you should be supposed to, so the result got confusing...

Well, this is part of the 100% challenge. I really don't want to spoil it yet. It's well hidden, but surely not impossible to find.

Uh well... he's in Norfair right? Because I only see 2 blue doors to go but without a single tank and varia, I can only manage to pass one area before dying of heat. Have I missed something?

Yes. In this case you probably missed Kraid at first. Go for him then.

Oh...So I DO have to get to that gate over the spikes.... with some fancy bomb jumping I presume? I tried to get there for over 2 hours but oh well, time to get practise! Thanks for the help!
THE OPERATION WAS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY

CLEAR TIME 9:51

SEE YOU NEXT MISSION

Now to go find those other ten items (xray, three etanks, and some missiles)

MB was annoying.  Not hard, but annoying.  I had no idea enemy health could go that high.  Doesn't it stop at 65536?
Saturn:

1 Energy Tank
10 Missiles
Morph Ball
Bomb
Defeated bosses up to Kraid

I have tried to go through the heated rooms in Norfair (both bottom and top right of the first room), but I cannot survive in time to make it through either passage. Am I missing an Energy Tank/Refill?
