kirbymastah there are some players which aren't listet in the frigate escape rankings (i guess Master88 forgot to put them in his old topic when he started it): TRH's old WR was 4:29.27 and kip also had an escape time of 4:29.xx but it was not a wr. also i got a suggestion regarding the leaderboards; imo it would be better to make the rankings like this:

for example the frigate escape category (optionally you could add the dates behind the times if you like):

01. T3 4:33.85 remaining (on: ??.??.2013)
02. MilesSMB 4:33.50 remaining (on: ??.??.2013)
03. MPzoid 4:32.16 remaining (on: 04. May 2014)

I updated all the frigate times. I don't really want to add all the dates since it would add a lot of unnecessary clutter, especially since most of them aren't even known.

to make it like a ranking, so you could see better who's considered a tie and which place you are in the world ranking. (also making a TWR at the world records would make sence so its also more clear that it is also considered a tied world record)
Also put in the both the channel and the video of the runners would make sence, maybe also linking the youtube channel.

It's definetly cool that the leaderboard times are linked with the video of the run. Adding the twitch/ youtube sites would also be cool. I want to say one thing that I don't find good: There's a ranking. I don't think there should be a ranking because there're definetly some times that are missing. I'm guessing that, for example, tate & craztad did at least sub 1:15 any% SS (with the in-bounds route!!!). You see? I'm so sure my 1:13 any% SS isn't the 8th best PB one has ever gotten. I forgot kip who has as well done any% SS - I take that for granted, at least.

yeah. but the point of ranking it is to see that the same time is considered a tie. Also this is the ranking we know, if someone wants to give an objection because he is complaining about it, he's welcome to correct the list. So theres no real point not to do it. *shrugs* I'd rather complain about being lower on the list, i guess. A few people might think some times are worse than others even though they're considered a tie in the community.

otherwise it starts getting really messy when people don't have a video/stream

I updated the first post with [Stream] just now. I'll add the extra videos and Master88's stuff later when i'm not half-dead after graduating (FINALLY DONE WITH SCHOOL Dancing

) and driving 4 hours

EDIT: Also apparently R Web got 1:26 in february 2014, for 100% SS... Updated it with a video for that too :p

Anyways, I'll hunt around for some videos as well, but if you want to help out (please do, this takes hours ;A;), just post the runner, time, and URL and I'll update the first post appropriately. Thanks a lot! :D

AFAIK 1:11 (at one point at least) was (or still is) his PB, and he got 1:11 in that race against Miles back then as Miles was "just" as good as most of us are now. aiwebs_008

I've got no "good" Frigate Escape on YT (or anywhere else) and my 1:43 was recorded but I planned on improving it down to 1:40 (using the in-bounds route would make that a very solid run; I also planned on learning the IBBF-route which saves TONS of time and allows to approach 1:30 100 times more easily than using the in-bounds route, c.f. MPZoid's 100% SS WR was 1:29). Well, I wrote "planned" because I used to be interested in running 100% and right now I'm not. Meaning, I deleted the 1:43 video for no reason. -.-
Also, the segmented 23% 1:28 isn't recorded, thus, you've got every of my times and every video/ playlist for it. Well, I've got a kinda sloppy - segmented - run for the "Trilogy normal=easy mode" finished with 2:15. (2:20 respectively for the same run that I split halfway through in order to test another route). If you were to add Trilogy (seen as PAL is in the leaderboard as well), there's also a 100% segmented run by some guy on YT. 100% 5-segmented 2:34 is very good for Trilogy, I think?!

Except for one, that you can add to the emulator times: 21% in 1:31 (unrecorded). (Write "semi-TAS" next to it so it's clear that this is FAR beyond human capability). And yes, it's 91 and not 151 minutes. It's literally (about) half as much time as T3 needed in his UNREORDED?! 2:58 done legitamately, on-console. I guess you'll add it, right?

Also, Smilingjack's 23% segmented is ACTUALLY 1:25, even though the separate vids are titled with 1:38. But the final time is 1:25 as he also says in the author's comments and the final video shows a 23% Impact Crater save with 1:14 and a fina time of 1:25. No clue why the vids are titled wrong.

Also I've got an idea: We could add a Varialess Magmoor Runs section on the leaderboard! Why not? It's more challenging than doing the boring Frigate Escape over and over again (which is also the reason why my PB on the Frigate is just below 4:twenty-six) and I happen to improve it from time to time during SS runs. Only during SS runs since I've never done a segmented run serious enough for a 4:xy save at Tallon IV.

If we add the VMR category, you can add a pretty tight 4 T VMR; it's 8 units left.:

Also, Smilingjack's 23% segmented is ACTUALLY 1:25, even though the separate vids are titled with 1:38. But the final time is 1:25 as he also says in the author's comments and the final video shows a 23% Impact Crater save with 1:14 and a fina time of 1:25. No clue why the vids are titled wrong.

Also I've got an idea: We could add a Varialess Magmoor Runs section on the leaderboard! Why not? It's more challenging than doing the boring Frigate Escape over and over again (which is also the reason why my PB on the Frigate is just below 4:twenty-six) and I happen to improve it from time to time during SS runs. Only during SS runs since I've never done a segmented run serious enough for a 4:xy save at Tallon IV.

Miles never uploaded it because it wasn't much better than the 1:16. It was actually slower RTA due to failing elite pirate skip.

Played on dolphin, this was just a really terrible playthrough without optimizing anything at all, i also used the same strats i usually do in runs.
Maybe it was just me but i didnt feel like this version had the loading times fixed.

Of course not (yet); how comes you had thought it had the loading times fixed? Who claimed it? I don't think that will happen in quite a long time, but I could be terribly wrong on that, though. Nonetheless, it'd be very appreciated if it were to be fixed at some point in the future.

theres some patches people released on tasvideos just for metroid prime loading time fixes, didn't try them yet, doesn't seem to work on the regular dolphin though, i guess you will have to fix it by installing some patches also: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15358 ... yeah.
Theyre not 100% accurate i think though, i don't think strats are much different from the GC version now. (i did a full playthrough and i just could play it perfectly fine, didn't change any of my strats, just noticed that some doors we're opening a bit sooner as i expected, though maybe it was just me)

SS Any% 1:09. Having to grab spider was the largest error in the run (I suck at that fight) and everything after artifact of warrior went pretty poorly.

Edit: I guess I might as well point out my best frigate escape time is around 4:27.90 remaining. I plan to upload it soon. (Expect a lot more stuff from me now that I finally have my own recording set up)
