I always say it like  ride-lee. but i realized its probably  rid-lee. What do you guys say?
Thread title:
I've always pronounced it rid-lee. It would be too weird to change the way its pronounced but I know someone who can tell us how Ridley is pronounced... THE NARRATOR FROM THE PAL VERSION OF PRIME
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Meh that guy doesn't even say Samus Aran right.

But yeah..
rid
lee

Like Ripley's Believe It or Not.

rid

or probably more important.

like the chick in Alien(series)
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I never tought of how to prononounce Ridley, I always say it the way I find to be normal, rid-lee.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely

where did chick come from? wow, i was tired. >_< must have been thinking of bulleta or something.  Wink
Ripley owns. She's the 2nd best sci-fi chick out there (after Samus of course). And I always pronounce it phonetically (god I hate that hypocritical word): rid-lee.
lol i knew it. I'm wrong and I've been saying it that way since I got my Super Metroid when it first came out. Oh, to try and change now, so hard.
I pronounce it Rye dlee... Sounds a little more menacing than Ridlee so I stuck with it for this near decade
I actually say it with a bit of an "A" sound, like rid LĀY
ride-ly. And that's how you pronounce my name, too, however you pronounce the actual thingy's name.  Evil or Very Mad
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)

From the egg!
Ride-lee sounds too much like a mount.
Rid-lee sounds too much like an awesome female sci-fi character (or its director).
Rid-lay sounds better than Ride-ley but is less phonetical.
Fe-ne-ti-cal has nothing to do with our discussion but is a retarded English word.
I used to say Ride-ly but now I say Rid-ley.
Samus Lauren
I say it like it looks. Rid. Ley. Ridley! Why would you call it "Ride"ley if theres no 'e', thats what i'd like to know.

Plus, wasnt there another thread about this, like how to pronunce diff Metroid words, like Samus or chozo or something? :?
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Okay, everyone does realize there's a real person named Ridley Scott, right? And everyone realizes that's who Ridley is likely named after, right? And everyone realizes that Scott's name is pronounced "Rid-lee", right? So what's the big controversy here?
I don't think anyone is yelling at each other for the right pronounciations of Ridley.  They're all talking about the same thing.
Rid-ley
soaking through
I have a solution.  Why don't we all just write it down whenever we want to say it.  Then no disagreements, and nobody feels left out.

Either that, or we all take a vow of silence.

Bring me your insurmountable world problems, and I, the great Namu, will solve them!

Oh, and by the way, I pronounce it as in Ridley Scott.
The only reason I call it "ride-lee" is because I always have, and because I first got Super right when it came out, and I was a young'n at the time, you can't really blame me for saying it wrong. I never really realized I was stupid till recently.

.............
I always pronounce it Rid-lee
Rid-lee is the most reasonable, and that's how I've always pronounced. I can see where Rid-lay comes in.

Now Ride-lee is weird. It would make sense if it was spelled "Ridely" but it's not.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Why didn't this topic stop with Toozin's post?
