Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
The space time beam isn't boring. It's horribly broken in a way that almost makes sense to the hardware, but not quite. I don't like it because it's broken in a bad way.
There is a space-time beam in the movie you uploaded. That is fairly normal, well-known space-time beam behavior.
There's nothing at all new about it.
yeah
That would explain why it acts like the space time beam, but isn't. Thanks Kej.
This seem like such a small thing that it didn't warrant it's own topic...  And since it is a glitch...

I got the blue suit after killing Draygon by ShineSparking into him and killing him.  Then I noticed if I used the dash button it kills the effect (of the 'blue suit').  And I was wondering...  Is this typical?

Maybe I should've paid more attention to those smvs.

And how is it possible to charge a beam, then morph mid air into the ball and drop bombs?  :-s

Edit: Now I wonder if I should've posted this in the 'I need help' -topic.  Embarassed

Yes, it is.

That's either the bombspread, or somebody turned bombs off, paused after morphing, and turned them back on. Or they didn't fully charge.

I'm not sure about the second possibility, though.
You mean this trick? If so, it only works after a successful walljump. Charge the beam, somersault, let go of the shot button, walljump, then immediately press and hold down to morph.
yeah

But whenever I try that trick (I've attempted it many times) the charge goes away after morphing.
At Moozooh.  That's it.  And like ING-X I get the same thing.  I charge it up, somersault to a wall (apparently this is when I can release the fire button), then I wall-jump (which now I'm glad I found a way to carry a charge while wall jumping  8-)  ), ..then morph into the ball -- but the charge stops (if I don't fire downward), and no "Bomb Spread".  :(

Maybe there's some small thing we're not doing...?

I used to do that pretty often when I was fighting Ridley. On accident, of course. >_>
Walljumping allows Samus to transition directly from spin-jumping to morph ball by pressing down. If you hold fire after you press down, Samus will keep her beam charge. Then when you release down, Samus will release the bomb spread.
yeah

Sounds hard.
How about you try it first.
yeah
Good idea. *opens SM in ZSNES*

Edit: Okay, it isn't hard. You just need a bit of practice. After that, you can get it almost every time.  Wink
Very small glitch:

If you spin jump at an open door and right before entering press start and then release start the cutscene of changing rooms is very dark-looking. This can be done with any door I think.
yeah
I've known that for a while. It rocks.
yeah, this is probably old news, but, well i just found out.

Click the smilie
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is also probably known, and if it isn't, it's probably not valid, since I did it in the JB hack, and either way it's completely pointless. If you move into a save station after hitting Start, one of two things will happen, depending upon when you went into the save station. First, it will ask you whether you want to save with the room very dark (from the fading that pausing does). If you entered before it took you to the map and choose to save, it will start to save, pause, and continue saving normally. If you got to the map before the save menu opens up, and you choose to save, it only sets the flag that says you have already used the station.
Every Bit Counts
How did this work out. I'm standing on the high-jump boots, but I haven't picked them up.

Edit history:

That's happened to me numerous times. Turning around in "standing form" (if you want to call it that. couldn't think of a better name. >_>) on top of the ball thing while it's opening and not pressing anything afterwards will leave you standing on the high-jump. Dunno why it works.

Edit: At least this is the only way it ever happened to me.
Every Bit Counts
But I didn't turn around. I was playing in realtime without savestates just for fun. I got to the room, shot the blocks, got close to the ball, shot it, and and landed on the high-jump. Never landed on the ball or turned around.
yeah

How?
I knew that could happen if you shot the ball just as you fell on top of it, but I never heard about the turn around method.

And fano7, if you seriously did end up standing inside hi-jump just by jumping on the already-opened sphere, I'm going to guess your game is messed up
Almost happy
A similar thing has occurred to me aside from in the hi-jump room. When exiting from WS grabbing gravity suit I have once or twice run straight through it out of the door, I guess that if you run through the sphere (or fall through it) at the precise frame where it breaks the game will not notice you touching it, leaving and re-entering or maybe just turn around in it would make you pick it up though.
This doesn't seem to be a glitch as much as a random sound quirk.  Occansionally when I'm using Hyper Beam, the sound of the beam charging will play but nothing will happen to the Hyper Beam because, obviously, it can't be charged.  It seems to happen more when I fire the beam to break a Screw Attack.  Just something I've found.
