Speaking of lucid dreams its been a reaaaally long time since I've had one. The closest thing I can think of is while in a dream I realized that it was just a dream, and then everything "faded" away and I woke up.
You know what I really really hate? When you fall asleep and you're having a decent dream, or just sleeping well, then you wake up on your own. You roll over to see what time it is, and how much longer you can sleep in, only to see that you've woken up a whole 6 minutes before your alarm is supposed to go off. You can either A: lay in bed and half-fall asleep only to be even more tired when the alarm goes off, or, B: get up then and there and just fart around for an extra 6 minutes. I usually try to go with A, but just not fall asleep but it never works right.
heh that happened to me this morning. what i do is lie awake with my eyes closed, not trying to fall asleep or anything, but just lying there breathing. it's very relaxing and sometimes the minutes seem to take forever, which is pretty cool.
i grab my phone (which is also my alarm) from the window sill and lie there clenching it so i can check the time periodically. always turn the alarm off if i wake up early because i fucking hate the noise it makes.
ME TOO. I use my DS lite as an alarm clock, but the noise it makes now bugs the crap out of me. Like, before it was fine and it didn't really bother me, but now I guess i've adjusted to hating that noise. This has happened with previous alarm clocks as well :/
