Thing is, though, Ark, I though you only remembered dreams when you wake up during them, so unless I'm misremembering, that means you'd have to be able to wake up during REM.

I've never actually heard that said, Yosh, but it certainly makes sense to me. I can't recall a dream that I didn't wake up from.

No, you can still remember them, even if you wake up after REM ends. It's just that you remember much more when you wake up in the middle of REM (which would be in the middle of the dream). And yes, you can easily wake up during REM. It's the lightest sleep.

odd topic but cool:P

this is my oddest dream ever (and by far the scariest):

i have this weird feeling that something watching me. i get up and guess what im looking at? a wall. but for some odd reason, Dracula was on the wall...why i have no clue. so im officially freaked out. i go back to sleep. then the next thing i know im in the invasion of Normandy. but, this wasnt no WW2 thing. i was there as the Americans were coming on the beach and the Germans were dying. but the americans didnt see me...or the things after me. I swear in this dream, i was surrounded by zombies. like the ones from Fable only they wanted to eat me instead of hit me with an axe. so i run. the next thing i know, im in a pyrimid. being chased by zombies. so i grab a shotgun that popped out of nowhere and went Doom on them. pow pow pow!!!!!!!! then, the scary part kicked in. i was in a straight black room. floating for some reason. then, some sort of face appeared. not just any face, the face of a demon/zombie. it was laughing at me. then, it ate me. man that laugh freaked me out. then i warp...again. this time im in a restaraunt and i swear Satan was there. then i wake up when he laughs and had to go to mental theropy. thats my scariest dream.

Wow. Your whole dream had undead chasing you. But was it fun when you had the shotgun? My dream was fun when I had a shotgun.

the worst dreams are the good dreams that get cut short.

last night i had a dream. George Bush handed me an AK-47 and an ammo belt and said "Clarence, it is your job to eliminate stupidity from this world." so i had herded up all the stupid people, and i raised my AK-47, and I took aim, i pressed my finger up to the trigger, and i woke up. and i tried to go back to sleep because i wanted to watch the dream end. no suh luck for me there :(

I run this here hotel of an evening

i had a dream that i had a Revolution and a few games for it, but the games themselves were old NES games. one of them was called Super Metroid: Second Hunt
then for some odd reason i went looking for my NES, not even trying it in the Revolution.
i also remember thinking that i would have to post about it on the forums (these forums) after i played it.

i woke up just as i got my NES connected

I had a kinda crazing dream last night, one that i've never had before. I was running a race in my sleep, which i must say, was a bit different than the regular way of doing it.

Though i cant remember all the details, i remember that at the beginning of the cross race, there was (i believe) a bell used to start, and we were off and running. I can't remember if others on my team were running too, but i do remember that it seemed alot like Central's(our rivals) course, except in a maze formation. THere were many twists and turns in the race, some around tall bushes, other around walls of dirt, sometimes out in the open. There was this other girl running with me for a while too, because i kept getting mad and trying to pass her around the turns, but slipping on the mudd. I did eventually pass her, and if i didnt, i didnt remember, but when i finished i looked down at my watch to check the time, and was amazing to see that it said 21:56, which means that i had finally borken 22 minutes. I was so happy and exahausted that i fell over and sprawled on the ground, and the dream ended.

At least it was a happy ending. :)

I dont think I've ever had a dream that can happen in real life. Like giant penguins will just pop into my dream or something like that.

How long did it take you to round all the stupid people up? XD

My dreams always fail to come back after I wake up. Like when I want to know what I got on the dream test or whatever. Except once-I was sick, and over the course of like 16 hours of occasionally broken sleep I dreamed about like a whole week of camping.

The only dream I've ever remebered was a nightmare I had when I was three. We drove for so long. Then at the end...there was a sign. "Welcome to Wheat Ridge" Well obviously we were visiting my Grandma. Except not...this was not the little suburb near my house. When it ended we were staying in some uber-nice hotel, but the fact remained that that weird drem scared the gunship out of me. Even now, I try to laugh, but the incredible fear of that dream I had when I was small overpowers it.

My brother reads too many psychology books...he told me today that you can't die in your dream, and that you can't turn lights on or off (or even apparently affect the light level at all)...I think it sounds like bull, but I don't really remember dreams. Has anybody else noticed this?

Actually I think I saw my face on a body in a dream once. Must have been supposedly my evil twin or something.

About a week ago, I dreamt I was on Dark Aether. I opened a Power Bomb door and entered a room not in MP2. There was a Sky Temple Key just floating there, so I grabbed it. I don't remember much else, except I think I had to climb up the room after I got the key, and I boost balled around for some reason.

yeah, i remember having a dream where i was 007 (i just saw Tommorrow Never Dies) anf i fell of the empire state building and when i hit the ground, my legs were over by central park and my arms were lost to the world and my body had exloded, but i was still alive. but it was wierd how i felt the pain IN the dream and when i woke up...

That is complete bull. A person can dream about anything. In all the psychology books I have ever read and from everything I've learned in psychology, you can dream about whatever the hell happens to pop into your mind. You can even force yourself to lucid dream (by means of this flashing light apparatus that detects REM...when the lights flash, you'll see them in your dream, so you know that you're dreaming. Then you can take complete control of your dream and do anything you want).

Hehe, I found something really cool in dreams, that, if you wake up right after you dream, think of it in a semi-sleeping state and sleep again, it actualy happens. Alos a compleatly (sp.) weird thing, when you are in a semi-semi sleep state (you're very sleepy and you just think of stuff), you have a mini-dream that (for me) ALWAYS involves doing something unexpected, like missing a step and your foot jerks, but the funny thing is, when you jerk, you do it in the real world which makes you wake up.

Yeah, I have had that thing when I am almost asleep before. Happened to me almost every day last year, it seemed; have not had that happen for a long time, though. Probably something to do with my varying sleeping habits or something.

I tend to have that from time to time, very very awkward. Ever had a close-to-dreaming, where you can actually see a further distance away from you with your eyes closed (its actually very difficult to explain, but it can be done. Its just very, very difficult). Ive only done it twice, in a row or so, and now i just cant seem to be able to do it anymore. Its very cool, and it "looks" as if youre looking at a dark 3D world.

Ever have dreams where you think you know where you are, but the next moment the whole situation changes as if it where linked somehow. Its quite interesting and i seem to have those types of dreams often. Probably cause my mind tends to shift often to various things, from playing one game, to doing something completely different. If you do have this sort of dream you will know, you will know.
