while we're semi-on the topic of nightmares ...

worst one i've ever had happened on 16 march 2002, right in the middle of the day when i unwisely laid down on my couch. it involved being in a large school of some type, similar in some ways to a school i went to for a summer session between my freshman and sophomore years of high school, but also quite different ... more like something you'd find indiana jones investigating. i remember that the ceiling was probably 100 meters or more in the air, and there were mysterious pyramids everywhere with ferns growing on them. the whole thing was easily the size of a small city.

as i wandered the "halls," i encountered people i knew from high school, but i had the distinct feeling that we were all about to die. a short while later, inside one of the pyramids, we were attacked by something ... i don't actually remember how it looked now. it was almost formless, maybe like a blue shadow or something, and it made no sound until it was right on you, and then your severed head watched your body fly up into the air. the sound was probably your limbs being sliced off, actually.

then, as i was looking around at the pieces of the other bodies with my last few seconds of life, something happened ... there was a long, thin, gold line stretched across the ground. i couldn't figure out what it could be. then it started flickering, and i realized that on either side of the line there were pieces of someone's body drawing themselves back together again.

i was too afraid to open my eyes or move for an hour after i woke up. even after i opened my eyes i was still seeing that line. i told everyone i knew about it, trying to get it out of my mind, but it didn't help. people were saying things like "you just had a very vivid dream." ... thanks. keep in mind that 99.999% of the time, i don't even remember my dreams, much less have them have any real impact on my real life whatsoever.

bonus points to anyone who can tell me where my subconscious probably got the final image (think video games).

red chamber dream
Definitely weird. That's all I can say.
I'm trying to think of the video game, but it's probably some obscure, old game that no one has ever heard of. :P

Hmm, interesting. I'm wondering if this has to do with something really big that happened to you that caused you to seperate from someone really important to you. Maybe the dream was trying to pull that person back together again, and back to you. Or possibly, the person's body couldve had something to do with making the forums, and pulling people together.

Or maybe you just had one heck of a crazy dream right there. *shrug*
the first interpretation could be right on ... i don't know, obviously, but the timing would have been perfect.

*checks*

yep, it was two days after this:

Quote:
02:18:44 AM: *Jennifer* Do you really not know who this is?
02:18:52 AM: --> Jennifer  No clue. :>
02:19:15 AM: --> Jennifer  At first I was thinking Jennifer Britton...but nah...probably not.
02:19:37 AM: *Jennifer* Wow, I feel really kind of smart now.
02:20:49 AM: --> Jennifer  Unless, of course, I've known all the time, and I've got some other reason for pretending to be ignorant.
02:21:19 AM: *Jennifer* That could be it, too.
02:21:42 AM: *Jennifer* God, now I feel stupid.

sorry i can't post more ... you know, too private. but you bring up a very interesting point indeed. now i'll be thinking about that damn dream all day tomorrow ... just for a different reason this time. ;P
Dont worry too much nate, ive had some really freaky stuff too. Lets just say most have to do with some very bizarre things. UFO's scare me also. Actually, some of my worst nightmares contain ufo's in them, and other unexplained mystery. Its quite bizarre really: why would i be partially intrigued by something that completely freaks me out? Anyway, i developped the fear of tarantulas simply by having a dream with two enormous ones outside of my bedroom. That was terrifiying.

Probably "Comix Zone". ;)

I had a dream about a giant scorpion once.  I kid you not.
Armor Guardian
I had a dream about a screwed up version of Star Fox 64. I was fighting the stupid walker thing over the water.
i had a dream once where a Loose T-Rex was on a rampage downtown at night. It was chasing me and a crowd of people.

I only have crazy night mares when i have a fever. One time i dreamed the end of the world. I dreamed the entire prosses , and saw everthing that happend. At the end of the dream i was the only survivor. Scaryest dream i ever had.

Totally.

I dreamt about Toozin last night.  I'm not sure, but I think he came on a Counter Strike server and banned some people.  It was some online game anyway.

I have weird dreams.

Heh, I've dreamed about people from m2k2, as well. Don't really remember any specifics, though.

There is an upside.  I dreamt about hover-bikes once.

lol. never played it.
At a local hotel with my family, we needed to head out for dinner. As usual, I am incapable of leaving my room with my trusty pair of Magefists. My mom tried convincing me to wear the Frostburns instead (since the Magefists were an incredibly tight fit), but I felt that they were too large for the occasion.

While going towards the lobby, we were ambushed by black clad ninjas. These punks were no match by my superior skills. After a quick dance with my dual Blackrazors, the ninjas were easily dispatched. But somehow my Magefists fell off and away from sight. Mortified, I ran back to our room to equip the spare Frostburns.

My parents was nowhere to be seen at the staircase. I ran to the lobby to find a group of baseball players, but still no family. Confused, I wandered outside searching for them. Nearby, there was a monastery with many trainees. The lead monk was none other than Kane, the ruthless bald-headed ridiculously charismatic genius.

I quickly fled the area fearing for my life. I arrived at a riverbed only to see my friends. They had decided to said to Canada to find one of my other friends (let's call him Bob). I decided to tag along. After 5,144 years, we finally hit land again. Since the boat ride was so long, there was no way this could be Canada. "This must be Austria," I stated confidently. Sure enough, a sign nearby said "Welcome to Austria."

However, Bob was there when we arrived. He invited us into his home to play some video games. After a few rounds of punching kangaroo, somehow I became the kangaroo. Then my son died and I was sad :(.
I dreamed about Saber not long ago, something about drawing.  This was before seeing the picture, so of course he looked different.

I've had many videogame-influenced dreams.  Only one I recall offhand involved screw attacking into some blocks.  In 3D, of course.  I think my mom asked me if it gave me a headache, which seemed a perfectly reasonable question.

The most memorable dreams have involved losing people I care about.  One, when I was about 13, was that I was a widow revisiting the scene of my husband's death (which had happened 30 years ago, although I was only 40-something in the dream and had been an adult when married; dream arithmetic is no more sensible than dream logic), in some mountainous, snowy area.  I saw him in memory, face down in the snow, his bright red blood against the whiteness...I think that last bit was influenced by an image from the Robotech artbook.  I woke in tears, as I had been in the dream also, and the vividness of it may be apparent from the fact that I remember it 18 years later.

Another one was that the planet was slowing in its rotation and the air was drifting off, no longer held by gravity, so everyone was evacuated to...somewhere else.  I don't know where, as I wasn't an evacuee...I was staying behind with 12 other people in a plane/ship thing that for some reason had to orbit the planet, perhaps to facilitate the evacuation in some manner or keep it from exploding, or something equally critical.  We were all volunteers, and we knew we would die of asphyxiation not long after the evacuation.  I saw my family off, and told my sister (about 5 years old) that I'd be joining them later...lying so she'd go cheerfully; my parents would tell her the truth after they got there.  And then it was just the 13 of us, and the other twelve were all in couples and at least got to die with someone they loved, while I was all alone.  The loneliness and the grief that I knew my family would suffer were unbearably painful.  I think that one was about ten years ago, probably more since my sister is now twenty.

I'm glad most of my dreams aren't like that, or I'd be afraid to sleep.  Mostly I like dreaming, though, and seeing what happens.  The game-derived ones are usually fun, when they don't involve headaches and dizziness.

This is a good topic for me to wrap up with.  I've been trying to convince myself to put down the laptop and go to bed for a couple of hours now.
I beat up my friend in my last dream.. rather bad. :|

Just a couple of days earlier he told me he dreamed that he was beating up this other friend of ours... :|

Edit: actually, no, that wasn't my last dream, but my last dream is too personal. :]
Not impossible
just highly unlikely

If I had that kind of authority with Counterstrike, I would ban EVERYONE. I kid you not. Everybody.
Cook of the Sea
I don't believe I've had dreams about people from m2k2, unless you count Logbot and TPH, who appear in all my TPP dreams.  One dream I had a long time ago that I still remember is that I was in the Diary of Anne Frank.  Like I was there living with them and all that stuff.  And for some reason, I remember it as a really, really good dream.
I've had some remarkable nightmares, but at the moment I'm thinking on a very, very different thing.  :D

You'll see, when I was at high school (is it high school b4 university? don't remember too well) I knew the one that today is my best girl-friend. We were (and now again we are) very close to each other, no secrets, common thoughts, very smooth. Then I knew this fantastic girl (she was my girlfriend until 2 months ago :( ), and my friend began to date with another person.

We lost some communication, but I was happy with my girlfriend, focusing on her (that's a very big reason for us to break up), my friend was doing the same with her new 'friend'. I didn't call her for 6-7 years, but I knew that relationship was very special.

Sometimes my gf asked me why I was just mumbling about my old friend instead of doing something like going to her house or talking by phone. I didn't say it, but I felt like afraid of my feelings. I used to have a dream where I saw this old friend after a very, very long time; without voice to say nothing, hugged and kissed her. I didn't tell this to my gf, she would have got very upset and jealous, I guess. The kiss was something like 'I miss you', but that could really happen & my gf wouldn't see it that way.

Besides that, there was something else about that friend: she had a boyfriend, who was my friend too. This guy was very exited about her being his gf, so he was almost all the time: "she is this, she is that, she is beautiful". He had no coomon classes with us, while we were at class time, I saw her, not him; and being so good friends, she was always with me at teams. He was very persuasive about what he said, because I began to see her as a very, very atractive woman, instead of a good friend. I tried not to be too obvious and not to interfer with their relationship.

Almost at the end of the year our team had some off-class work. Our team had to choose 2 persons to loose some other classes and make the work, and guess what? Yes, I was there all alone with her (and her boyfriend waiting for us out of the lab). Hmmm... we had to do something with fruit, & tod her I had always thought it was attractive for me when in movies couples kissed while having a fruit on the lips... I took one while I was saying it & gave it to her, she just smiled and said: "would you dare?" ... [after a rush of emotions]: "Hm, no. I just said it.". Ahh, didn't do it, she was my best friend & her boyfriend was my friend too. We ageed not to say a word about what didn't happened to her bf, but next day at school she came to me and told me: "he said he had a dream about yesterday... he saw you kissing me"; uhh, he had some kind of sixth sense. She was so close to me that sometimes he was jealous, now this...

The kiss in my dream was far more innocent, but I had something else inside. My ex-gf moved to a diff state, then things happened & we broke up. For a very strange reason, I found the phone number of my old girl-friend, took the phone & heard some rare news: she was on a different state doing her Social Service, & what's a very strange coincidence: just like 1/2 an hour away from my ex-gf.

I went to see her (my friend) 4 days ago. I felt lost & with the heart broken, the sister of my friend told me she had been living a similar situation. I took some clothes, and made my way to see her (sharing the car with the sister of my girl-friend, and the boyfriend of the sister). After 15 hours of a long way, I saw her. The kiss of my dream didn't became reality, but all what it implied was there: with a single hug she understood everything. We had the best 2 days two old friends could have, and the kiss won't be in my dreams anymore  :D . [What?, oh, yes, it came later ^.^]
I hate it when I have awesome dreams like what you described above, and then wake up, and then get all deppressed, cause I got nobody to love. *starts singing blues*

Cool, the exact same thing happened to me, except the gravity was messed up and the end of the dream I was floating into nothing-ness.
I remember very few of my dreams, and the ones I do remember seem to be pretty bland.
red chamber dream
I usually have dreams without much action or anything. It's usually about my three closest friends and me, sitting and talking or something, and they're usually really good dreams. I rarely remember any specifics, though.

Although, two nights ago, I dreamed that I somehow accidentally cut off my old best friend (from elementary school...we've gone our separate ways, even though he still lives across the street)'s arms. His dad was like, "why did you do this?" And I remember something about him doing something to me first, but can't recall what.
Funny thing is, we're totally cool in real life and stuff. Will talk at the bus stop some; we're just not really good friends anymore.
saber, you dream about my old site?
