On the reciept that I got when I bought the game today it said Wii Metroid PR. Obviously meaning prime. Yes I do have the correct game lol but why the fuck would they have it as prime. I also bought metroid prime pinball for £5.00 and that has the same two letters to stand for Prime. Anyway not very far into the game. Got to that desert bit and saved it shortly after. Pretty good so far !
so i got my copy in the mail today and eagerly popped the disc into my wii.
soon after the first cutscene i realized i was going to have to pour myself at least a few drinks.
guess i'll start with the story -- of course it's awful so far but it's awful in an entertaining way. i'm only a few hours in, but that cutscene when
samus first arrives on the bottle ship was hilarious. anthony is such a bro -- i'd totally watch an other m movie with sam jackson playing him. so yeah i'm enjoying it in that sort of b movie way.
maybe that was just the alcohol though.
the gameplay is a lot more fun that i was expecting. the controls are fine -- i actually like the first/third person switching and think it's used pretty well. but of course the nunchuck would have made everything a million times better. owell. it feels even less like a metroid game than fusion and corruption but it's cool in its own right. the graphics are usually ugly as hell (especially in rendered cutscenes), but hey, i knew that going in.
one gripe i've got is that the map fucking sucks. why in the world doesn't it show door colors? also rooms on the mini-map are often shaped totally differently from their equivalents on the main map. totally useless piece of shit.
also sucks that there's no volume settings. a lot of the music seems pretty cool but it's so quiet compared to the sound effects. lame.
I do agree with you, arkarian. NO MENU WHATSOEVER. LET'S CHANGE LANGUAGE TO LAUGH AT "MORFOSFERA", BABYBABYBABYBABY *bang* *Samus drops dead with a bullet between her eyes*.
The map wasn't so bad actually, you don't need to see the shapes, just the arrow which is you, since there is NO exploration, no point using the map anyway, follow the yellow road, Dorothy.
