That sounds great! I am one of those who are anxious to see it. Crappy quality does not bother me, as long as it is clear enough to know what is going on. Good luck with future attempts as well.
EDIT: I tried to play PAL version for a change. It seemed kinda slow paced and irritating :) I got 0:48 without any major timesavers and I screwed up in lots of places. From this it is hard to compare but I think the timing is pretty similar in both versions. That is that I estimate that I would have gotten about that same time in NTSC with similar bad gameplay. Maybe that PAL just does not allow such smooth movements and players speed might stop many times because of those stupid SLOOOOW doors. Honestly, it seemed to me like Samus was moving in slow-motion all the time. I will not try to get used to PAL, that gameplay was such a nightmare for me :P
Kudos to all of you PAL-heroes.
P.S. is one of the ledges in Maridia big shinespark-room closer to the center? I banged my head there while doing the normal diagonal shinespark (stopped halfway through). That kind of thing seems impossible in NTSC.
