anyway yeah i don't think it's worth the time to try and find a way to get through the mines although i guess i see why you might try ... the goal would be to get to the south magmoor elevator (near magmoor workstation), then use a sw in workstation to get to the phen elevator

it's a lot more involved than just finding a sw in magmoor, which seems way more likely anyway

I wonder about a clip in the mines elevator... the rocks there give a good change of one

yeah exactly, that room is full of all kinds of shit. think if more people worked on it there's at least somewhat of a chance of finding something
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
Lol at how fast that was. I don't think I can get into a SW with it but there is a rock up against the elevator shaft and you can clip on it :P
red chamber dream
yeah heh i found tons of shit like that in that room. the hard part is actually getting into a sw ;(
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I clipped into the elevator shaft with it :P I doubt this will lead to a SW, I'll look for a better spot
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
the rods at the top of the elevator are clippy too, but I can't seem to get anywhere with the <_<
just to clear up any sort of confusion, you don't need a sw in far phendrana. basically the idea is to find a sw in twin fires, wallcrawl to plasma, continue wallcralling to the mines elevator, use a sw in ppc, wallcrawl to pbs, exit the mines and use the workstation sw (this still technically hasn't been done), then get xray and go beat op to get phazon suit. then after this you can get to phendrana via the front and get wave beam.

using the mines elevator sw would work similarly except you'd pick up plasma after leaving the mines.
PPC has a SW?
red chamber dream
think he means find one in there.

wouldn't it be roughly 4230958243958243 percent easier to just find a sw in magmoor, then go to phendrana and get wave?
red chamber dream
would involve finding a sw in the phen elevator too (if there's not one already) but that's still easier than what you're suggesting lol
from what i remember you can use the pirates to clip through the walls in ppc.

also i doubt it would be easier to do it that way. the only difference is you're using a sw that hasn't been found yet instead of using a potential ppc sw. you still need to use the workstation sw after you get wave with your route so it's not really making anything easier. it's only adding another sw that needs to be found.
red chamber dream
oh, yeah i guess i didn't think about getting out once you've got wave. you're probably right.
red chamber dream
but either way finding a sw in unheated magmoor is necessary
well not so much "unheated magmoor" as it has to be found in twin fires. if you were to find one in the tallon/magmoor elevator you wouldn't be able to wallcrawl fast enough to get by tft as you would only have 10 seconds to make it, and finding one in tft would almost certainly not do you any good <_<

so pretty much, it all goes back to either a twin fires sw or a tallon/mines sw.
red chamber dream
oh tft is heated? i thought it wasn't, my b
red chamber dream
are you sure you couldn't get through it in 10 seconds though? seems like if you start at the right height you could just run through
Anywhere, everywhere
First off, the ceiling of the elevator room is not solid. You can climb through it.

Second, a twin fires secret world wouldn't be as big as you might think because then you'd need to find a secret world in phazon processing center.
red chamber dream
seems like finding one in ppc should be easy given how huge that room is, but i guess you never know

the heat damage starts as soon as you transition to tft, you don't get the chance to prepare yourself by aether jumping up to the right height.
red chamber dream
so jump up high enough, then shoot the door
that's not how transitioning works <_<
red chamber dream
can't you sometimes get rooms to load that way? you don't always have to touch the door frame i thought
red chamber dream
or does the map transition first regardless?
you have to touch the door frames to transition all rooms. there are however a few different ways to load rooms but that doesn't matter in this situation.
MP2 also a bit MP1 speedrunning
erh is MIB possible in mp1?
