Do you mean MBI? No one's found any way to activate it in Prime, no, if that's what you're asking. In Echoes, it's activated through things that were new to that game, like Morph Ball Cannons. Or maybe it was only ever the cannons in the first place, I'm not sure. But yeah, those don't exist in Prime.
I've been looking into this. Would an alternate 21% that skips Varia instead of Space Jump be accepted? All we need is a SW in Twin Fires, and Varia is as good as skipped.
The route would be:
>Space Jump
>Missiles, Morph Ball, and Bombs
>Ice Beam
>Cross Twin Fires Tunnel (I heard this was possible if you do the jump backward to save time lost by turning around)
>Secret world in Twin Fires, wallcrawl to Plasma Beam, then to Phazon Mines elevator
>Go get Power Bombs
>Climb Vent Shaft and Phazon Processing Center, head back to Magmoor
>Magmoor Workstation SW past Wave Beam doors and back to Tallon elevator
>Climb Frigate Crash Site and head to Great Tree Hall
>Go get X-Ray (You can use the Life Grove SW to both grab the artifact and bypass the GTH bars on the way back)
>Head back to Central Dynamo
>Omega Research SW to bypass Wave Beam door to Metroid Quarantine A
>Go beat Omega Pirate, get Phazon Suit
>Climb Phazon Processing Center, head to Magmoor
>Magmoor Workstation SW past Wave Beam doors
From there, we're home free. Go grab the Wave Beam, the Artifacts, then head to Impact Crater. All we need is that Twin fires SW. We're so close!
iirc its not possible to wallcrawl from Omega Research to mqa, the door on the floor at the bottom of Omega Research is stopping you from doing anything there :(
I don't really know the names of all the rooms, but I'm pretty sure Maintenance Tunnel is room with the ball tunnel with the power bomb-able rocks in the middle, right? and Elite Quarters is the Phazon Pirate room? if so, then you'd need to boost to load Elite Quarters (lol, long story)
Mines do suck, same with Magmoor, we need more SWs.
Edit: this
pretty much, you need to scan the thing then reload the room for the loading zone to appear, if you don't reload the room the game crashes, like in this video ... but if you go back to Omega Research and wallcrawl down there again, you can load the OP fight, like in this video: (I don't expect anyone to watch that second video)
Maybe we're going about this the wrong way. Instead of trying to skip Wave until Phazon Suit, we find a way to get to it backward.
There's a SW in Transport Access, the room in Phendrana that's behind the post-Thardus elevator. It requires Charge Beam, but has anyone tried getting into it without? From there we could wallcrawl straight to Wave, then head back to TFT normally, cross it backward, then head to the Mines normally.
I'm going to poke around those two rooms and see what I can find.
iirc there is a SW in the Phendrana elevator that Miles would always try to get into then he screwed up in segment 8, he was trying to BSJ off one of the 4 poles that are around the elevator thought I never actually saw him get oob and I've never seen a video of it being done anywhere else (it most likely requires space jump if its possible).
I guess there might be some potential for a SW in Transport Access if you melt the ice, then UBJ onto the pulse bombu and somehow balance on it long enough to be able to UBJ or DBJ out ... good luck with that btw.
...But, wouldn't all this be useless without a SW in Twin Fires?
so i decided to look into 20% again and i came up with this. i haven't managed to get onto the bombu without space jump yet but i've come very close. also i suspect there is actually a higher ledge on the ice that may be usable but it's insanely small. so assuming that this is actually possible without space jump all that would be needed is a twin fires secret world and 20% would be possible.
I thought that someone HAD done it, just facing backward.
That Pulse Bombu SW is confirmed possible in 21% conditions, without the Charge Beam? Awesome. Even if we can't do any of this without Space Jump, an alternate 21% would be much easier, both in difficulty and enabling new percent drops.
