Um, if you watch this video, you guys will see it is possible to get ice beam without morph ball bombs and escape... (start watching at around 6:56) Has anyone tryed to do this without space jump? Or is this something that is very old and has already been tested before and am I looking like an idiot for even bringing it up?
ya unfortunately that has been found.. you dont sound dumb lol u found that by urself mad props! i think this was brought up when i was experimenting with my max% MB-less run. i was able to make it to ice beam w/o space jump or morph ball ^.^ but gooood luck finding a way out after... i found a couple spots that looked promising for a SW outta there but nobody was really interested so i kinda dropped it
what do you mean mpfanatic? The guy in the video (this is someone else's video I just copy and pasted the url) was able to escape chozo ruins and enter tallon without bombs. Also, can someone post a video on how to get into gathering hall sw without sj?
what i meant was leaving ibbf without bombs or morph ball. without being able to mid-air morph (the technique he used to leave) there is no known way to get back as of yet >.<
If you were to take the elevator to Tallon South, there is the secret world in great tree chamber- but that needs a HBJ. It would then require a tasty wallcrawl through sunken frigate...
I don't think that you'll be able to get into great tree chamber SW with only space jump.. but I would like to be proven wrong.
ya if great tree chamber sw, or any sw in a room nearby is possible under mb-less conditions i think there might be a possibility of, if nothing else, getting back to ur ship after ibbf. dont really see it happening and not really 20% related but man it would be cool
flickerball will activate the next cutscene in that room. if you do not have all the artifacts, the fight will not start. if that is that last artifact you need, then flickerball will start the cutscene where you pick it up and then the fight starts (same as walking into it).
So how 'bout them missiles? do we just need a SW in the room with morph ball (most likely a clipping one) and a SW in the elevator in phen coming from magmoor to get an alternate 21% (with space jump I asume)? or are there other spots that "need" missiles?
Correct me if I am wrong but don't you need missiles to get Artifact of Nature in Magmoor...
I seem to recall someone said that you can get it with IS if you don't have missiles. But you won't have Boost.. so yeah.. I think you will need missiles there
ok so in a non-Low% we just need to find a way past Icebeam (not gonna happen >_>) and two SWs, that pretty much takes missiles out of the question.
Edit: if someone helps me/tells me the TAS input for HBJs/UBJs (without walls) I could work on finding a work station SW without SJ, iirc that has something to do with varialess run/20%
