Covers it pretty well I thinks
Thread title:
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I would be totally down With Brian Blessed voicing Samus.
Anywhere, everywhere
I always love this guy's reviews- they're super over the top, but they're pretty much spot on.

I never noticed the bottle ship was supposed to be like a baby bottle. Ridiculous.
I agree 150% with his review (the bonus 50% for mentioning that Prime is superior).

Sorry, wasn't trying to... Neutral

The first ten minutes of Other M uses babies more than the average Justin Bieber song.
Yeah, thats what I was thinking.  No joke.
ANKOKU
yeah, the massive overuse of babies at the start was really rather annoying.

Cut out the ENTIRE intro though and you lose basically any tie to Super Metroid.

Cutting ties to Super Metroid would make the game infinitely better.
I think the game should cut it's ties with existence.
Nah, the game isn't that bad. It's just bad Metroid game. Cut all ties to Metroids and thegame will be very much more better, and better yet, Metroid series will be infinitely better again. And how does someone speakthatfastlikethis?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Lotsofpeoplespeakfast. Wink

My biggest disappointment with Other M would simply be its length.  If I had not deliberately backtracked at every point I could, and had just followed the directions given to me, I'd have finished in about six or seven hours, which just isn't getting my money's worth.

9 times before reaching the Bottle Ship IIRC.

"Quietus: It as a bit short, but so is Zero Mission.
ANKOKU
Zero Mission has sequence breaks and replay value.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I'd have said that Zero Mission took me much longer, essentially because exploration is so free.  Every time I'd get an item, I'd explore every part of every map again, to see what I could find.  When I said short, I'm also talking about your first game.  Most people here have 100% completion times of under 12 or so hours.  For a Metroid game, that's pretty poor.

it's not their fault they made their game so unbreakable.

My first gameplay was after reaching 100% was still only at 7 hours.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely

How is that not their fault? Every single break in ZM was put there intentionally by the developers. Other M could have done the same and would have been better for it.

Not every single one, but the vast majority, yes...
It was an joke, duh. And ifthey were put intentionally, they aren't real breaks. -.-

No, he was being serious. Metroid Zero Mission has a lot of intentional sequence breaks that were put there by the developers.

This was an joke. As for the sequence breaks, those may be intentional, while breaks are not xD

B-but, my artistic vision! The story of Samus must be told in this one specific way or all is lost!
I like turtles.

Why not?  There was still an intended sequence to follow in Zero Mission; it just wasn't rammed down the players' throats like in Fusion.
I think there's blame that could be put towards everyone involved in Other M.
