What version do you own?
North American Original Version (NA-NTSC 0-00/0-01) (39)
European/Australian Original/Player's Choice Version (EU/AU-PAL 0-00/0-01) (16)
Japanese Original Version (JP-NTSC 0-00) (2)
North American Player's Choice Version (NA-NTSC 0-02) (2)
just curious because we seem to have a large european/australian element here.
Thread title:
NTSC original forever.
I own the original PAL version.

The number you've put after each of the choices, I'm guessing that's supposed to appear somewhere on the disc itself. Where, exactly, is it supposed to be? I've looked all over my disc and can't find anything like that.
it's on the inside ring of the data (reflective) side of the disc in very small writing. may need to take the disc outside and bounce the sunlight off of it to read it.
Hmm, still can't find it.

I'll tell you all the writing I can find on the back of the disc, from outermost to innermost.

First, in very small writing we have "IFPI LL37". Then, further around on the same ring but in bigger writing there's "203B0601" then a small gap, then "DOL-GM8P-0-00 JPN" then a big gap, then "S0". That's the only writing on the reflective surface, there's more but it's on the clear part right near the centre. It says "IFPI HH51", and further round it says "MADE IN JAPAN".

The only part of that that looks to be even remotely in the same forat as what you've given is "DOL-GM8P-0-00 JPN". I can't see ny other text at all on the back of the disc.
NTSC woohoo!  I have the ultimate: the sequence breaker's dream version. where all the original glitches are still in place.  Oh NTSC, how I love thee.
Pal, eur original.

"DOL-GM8P-0-00 JPN"

that's it. the 0-00 means it's the original version, and the jpn just means it was made in japan.
PAL Original. Got two days before release date (Ahh how good it is to have friends in stores ;) )
PAGE BREAKER
Ready and willing.
NA original. My first metroid game, but I think I may actually have been counting the days to release anyway.
Shouldn't there be a "Any combination of the four" choice?
I think Nate wants you to answer which version you first owned.
Okay.  NTSC non PC.

And how hard is it to get the early space jump boots? That's what I thought.  What's this?  Bendzium before the plasma beam?  Ahahaha.  Locks on doors?  Invisible barriers?  You just got served.
Found one of the last original NTSC copies in the store after Player's Choice came out, and I payed Player's Choice price! Very nice...got it for Christmas. 2003, not 2002.

With a little training, not at all.
