Regarding people trying to cover their folders up: You may find it much easier to just right-click your desktop, and select 'Arrange Icons By', and then uncheck 'Show Desktop Icons'.
You can just repeat the process to have them return.
it takes a fraction of a second to move any number of files to a different folder (as long as it's on the same drive). you're not actually moving any data, just rewriting the addresses.
Some of the things I covered up are over 60gb, I'd rather take the 15 seconds to cover things up then wait for everything to transfer.
Not to me, as I've been a techie for what, eight years now? I know about HDD transfer speeds and how moving files and folders works. Plus, all you'd need to do to replace the folders where they were before taking the screenshot is merely pressing Ctrl+Z.
Poision Envy: An even easier way to make it so you don't have to cover up desktop icons is to just not put stuff there on the first place, unless it's program shortcuts. I just put files into their respective media folders under various sub-folders and place a "My [Whatever]" shortcut on the desktop. I've even got one for games so I don't over-crowd my desktop with them. But, it's your decision what to do, not mine. :\
Horscht(i): If I didn't fail so bad at science in High-School, I'd probably know what those mean. I'm sure the second one is force (F), and I'm guessing the second is velocity. Regardless, I like the simplicity of the overall image. :D
I didn't take either of those, but the equations still look awfully familiar. I figured that's close to what it meant anyways, based on the illustration. Ahwell.

They were jsut some shortcuts and the names looked suspicious, and it also had some websites which is against the rules, and a bunch of warez stuff.
Horscht I like the wallpaper, reminds me of Portal a bit for some reason.
Jagger: You may want to be looking at all those files, deleting obsolete ones (I can see a Firefox 2.0.0.4, for gods' sake,) and putting the rest into storage that you want to keep. I use my desktop as a storage area ONLY for files I haven't otherwise examined yet. Then, I sort it into a folder appropriately. It's not too late to do it NOW, you know. ;)
