You can google "push notification" and it explains all the details. You can change notification setting by going to setting --> Notifications and there, you can change how you want it to notify you app by app. iOS 5 is even more useful for push notification than iOS 4 because it can take you directly to that point from the lock screen.
oh so you mean those little message windows that pop up?
yeah that might be cool. Or if there was an m2k2 taiga app that would show a little red number of how many unread threads you have, that would totally own
Exactly. Taiga for iPhone app would be nice. For iOS 5, it can notify me with the banner on top instead of pop up window to prevent distraction if I choose to do so.
Oh, ok. With iOS 4, you won't get the banner notification and some other features unless you want to update to iOS 5, which you'll use all the jailbreaking ability unless you want to use tether jailbreak. Speaking of jailbreak, when I used to jailbreak my iPod touch before I've update it, I've used it to turn the volume button into the next/previous track so I can change music while it's in the pocket. I hope there will be jailbreak for iPhone 4S coming really soon.
Oh, I see. You should've use the passcode for your iPod so no one can change your setting, I've used mine all the time. I know unlocking with passcode can be annoying, so I set it to lock it after 1 minute of inactivity.
yeah im way too lazy to do that, and really the worst they could do is take pictures or post something on my facebook. or I guess they could set a passcode, but meh. If it was a phone and actually had any important data on it then I probably would.
If you were me, you would have to use the passcode because if they have access to my iPhone, they can access all my emails, Facebook, Twitter, ebay and even my paypal account which it can manage money because it doesn't require login information.
To top of that, I've set it that if someone guess the passcode wrong 10 times, it would self-destruct.
Finally got around to jailbreaking my iphone. jesus christ, it's so nice being able to just remove all those annoying ass stock-apps. especially that newsstand one.
After I sleep I'll have to shoop this to look more like Katia, even though I love the colors.
