Press PRINT SCREEN, above the insert/delete keys.
Open paint/photoshop etc.

I do love the name of your icons though.

(A quick and pretty rough translation for those who doesn't speak swedish):
"Den elektriska saken"= The electric thing
"De andra sakerna"    = The other things
"Soptippen"                = The garbage dump
"Inte vadå"                  = Not what (I don't get it)
"Textigt"                      = Texty
"Gammla skrivbordet"  = Old desktop (spelled incorrectly)
"Bilder o.s.v."              = Pictures a.s.o.
"Låtar o dylikt"            = Songs 'n' such things

It's impossible to get ALL the icons off without hacking the registry, IIRC. (Maybe in XP...)

More importantly tho, the desktop is good for shortcuts to programs you don't launch often enough to use up precious space on the QuickLaunch bar, but use often enough to not want to have to dig through the start menu.

Of course, maybe you aren't using Windows, I dunno. On a Mac you could theoretically stuff the Hard Drive on the dock, but you'd almost certainly need a third-party program to accomplish the icon removal. Or, you could be going "GO COMMAND LINE" or something. *shrug*
