Hanging out with Dash would probably be the most entertaining since she does at least two things: flying around doing tricks, and random pranks. Plus she has an awesome looking house that might be fun on the inside.
Actually, now that I think about it, Pinkie might be the most fun in the end. Parties all the time, random pinkie-sense things, and things like that.
Hanging with Rarity would include mostly fashion stuff or spa things, which wouldn't be bad if you were a mare I guess. I'd imagine a dinner with her would include some fancy foreign food with expensive wine.

That's about what I meant yeah, I really don't want her to be more than a little joke with the fans. I just get kinda wary about shows getting too involved with their fans, fans know what they like but are typically stupid about how those things should be featured. There needs to be some barrier there. Some fan feedback is nice though, letting fan names for background characters catch on is fine, but if fan ideas start to leak through to the show proper and you lose the magic.
I also struggle with the idea of someone using the term "brony" seriously, any form of "bro" should be for comedy and nothing else.

Yeah I can see what you mean. Since she was pretty much the first "inside" joke between the fans since she was in the first episode she quickly became the biggest, so it isn't to surprising she's going canon.

I think the only way the could really ruin the show is if it just turns into fan wankery for 22 minutes at a time, with just tons of references to all the memes and stuff that it's brought about. Course you have to remember the people making the show know a thing about making a show, so you just gotta have faith I guess.

Probably not in the way I'm thinking, no, but I'd consider House and Glee to be shows that went from at worst a fun time kill to utter, utter shit in the name of giving fans what they want. Maybe Family Guy as well. I'd just rather not risk it.
The song is fun and catchy though, I'm not saying it's bad or anything, I just hope that fan service stays in ads and such and the the show keeping a healthy distance from the internet following.

motherfucker, I can't find pinkie pie ANYWHERE. I bought fashion style Rarity and AJ, and I have the burashable figures of all the mane cast except for pinkie. Also when I was at kmart, I asked my friend which pony his girlfriend bought me for my birthday, because I didn't want to buy the one she got me. he was like "oh she got you a Rarity" so I was like, okay, and bought all the others. Turns out she bought me a fluttershy, so now I have two. I'll post pictures of all my pony loot from the weekend in a few hours when the noobs leave my room.
