everybody knows it's true
The Hunters font makes it look like a D. And it makes the word sound cooler.

well, oublier in french means "to forget", and since "oubliette" is so similar to "oublier", it makes me think of my horrible french marks last semester, and I think that Dubliette sounds better. :P

Wow, that's a pretty bold statement coming from someone with such bad spelling... >_> And seriously, you're acting exactly like someone from the Nsider forums, and that's not cool.

Oh, and a question for the other people of this thread. How come there are few multiplayer levels that are based on the same room, but just edited some? It seems a bit odd to me...  :?
Sorry...>_> anyway.. i think stages should have doors and other rooms to make it more fun..
Yeah, me too. I wish they had put all three data shrines into one muliplayer level so it was like the one in adventure mode. But that would probably take up alotta memory...
Whoa this guy keeps conering me with trace and traps me in a wall and blasts me to oblivion...

Traps you in a wall? :? How would be do that? Shocked

Anyway, anyone got some helpfull anti-tactics against:

- people who spam with Lockjaw

- people who spam with Morphball

- Shock Coils (especially Sylux players)

- Kanden's Stinglarva (quick and homing damage)

- People who use Deathball upgrade with fast altforms (in fe. Ice Hive)

- People who snipe once of twice with Trace and then go into Triskelion altform, then go run all around the arena to survive the remaining minutes. (wtf is up with this nasty technique??? Btw same goes for Lockjaw after I got shocked once or twice.)

I need some tactics because these are the main reasons I loose matches. I can't quite figure out how to beat them. Btw I most of the time play Noxus and Sylux. I never play Weavel, Kanden or Samus, and when I feel like variation I play with Trace or Spire.
I've not been able to play online any, but here are my best suggestsions/guesses:
Quote from mightypoo007:

Try to jump around to so you're not on the ground for too long (the easiest place to get trapped by lockjaw) and try to get some distance between you and him.

Lockjaw :P Alt forms can't jump well, making lackjaw more effective. I also use missiles and charged Volt Driver against alt forms.

Quote:
- Shock Coils (especially Sylux players)

Get close to him and jump around to try to break his lock, as long as the shock coil can't lock on for more than a second it can't do much damage. It also seems to be less effective against alt forms.

- Kanden's Stinglarva (quick and homing damage)

Alt forms, I think Kanden has the slowest alt form, so others can easily run away from him. Otherwise same as other altforms, and maybe try to jump to avoid the stinger, although I can't do it well.

Run like a little girl :P

While hes sniping use alt forms and much as possible so he can't get a headshot, try to get close to him and then attack. While he uses triskeleton I would say sylux's altform, its fast to catch up with him and lockjaw is fairly effective on him. Also, if its a 1v1, try not to do it on a large map.
Also, for dodging someone with the deathalt, going into your own alt makes it a whole lot harder for the other person to kill you with it since its a lot harder to ram into them keep touching them until they die like that. I found it EXTREMELY hard to kill someone who's using the lockjaw and knows what they're doing with the death alt because of how fast it moves and its ability to change directions so quickly.

Indeed, rushing him/her with an alt-form is the way to go. Get in his face with an alt and he can't really keep you in his sights, at least not long enough to race the damage you'll be giving him.
Heres a tip that I use. I get trace, go to alinos (the lava stage) , get my affintiy weapon, go to the lava fall and back up twords the wall. I can stay there without getting hurt and I snipe them.

Anyone have some tips for Weavel so I can actually win a match with him? He is my favourite character but the most kills I've had with him in a match is 2. Whereas when I am Kanden I almost always get the 7 kills or 6 kills and win by the timer running out.

I need some strategies with his alt form in specific, I always go into alt form and go back to biped form before they shoot the turret but they still seem to kill me. Also I find the Battlehammer quite useless even with his affinity.

you can walk up that wall and get to a better spot where you really cant be hurt unless someone is sniping you, and there's no danger of the lava. the problem is that if you go too far, you somehow randomly commit suicide. o.O

in the ice hive i put ther turrnet in the center and my other half goes and gets the death halt. Usually i put the turrnet in the cent of attention or the common area.
For general multiplayer discussion.

(I'm surprised this thread hasn't been made yet.)

I just played a game that I thought was pretty funny/ironic. It was only two players, I chose Noxus and the other player chose Trace. He selected (and the WiFi chose) Harvester for the map, clearly too big for 1v1. So hes chosen the stealth sniper on a large map, a typical lamer Rolling Eyes

Of course, I'm expecting his to kill me a few times then run and hide for the rest of the game, so I'm determined not to die. Unfortunately, the first thing I do when the game starts is jump off the edge (I forgot Harvester wasn't low-grav :? ), so now its (-1)-0. When I next spawn I begin roaming the map gathering everything and keeping a look out for him. As I expected, he is no where to be seen. After randomly shooting around for a bit I remember the radar, and with only a few minutes left find him hiding on the rafters at the top of Harvester. I jumped up to get him, but hadn't prepared myself before hand, so after a brief fight when we both weren't ready (I clearly took him by surprise) he manages to snipe me. So now its (-1)-1 with about two minutes left. I go back to where I had found him before after briefly gathering supplies again, but this time I prepare my charged judicator before hand. Upon getting to the top of the rafter I'm easily able to freeze him. I didn't do enough damage to kill him, but he must have been weak and soon after he fell off and died when he hit the ground, so now its back to (-1)-0. I again go looking for him, this time I'm able to catch him on the ground, freeze him, and kill him shortly after he thawed, so its 0-0. With about 30 seconds left he decides to camp the spawn point, which (as far as I know) is not reacable from the main level. Fortunately, I had already collected the Imperialist, and begin taking shots at him, while he frantically dodges. With about 15 seconds left he begins pumelling me with missiles in a last ditch attempt to kill me, but with about 10 seconds left I manage to get the head shot I'ld been looking for to bring the score to 1-0. Right after that, the game ends.

I thought it was pretty funny that a lamer, no doubt confident of winning, especially after my early suicide, ended up losing when I figured out what he was doing. It goes to show you, most of the lame tactics you see, are actually really easy to beat if you just think through the problem.

So, do any of you have any good multiplayer stories? Or just some tips you want to give?

Don't use the Battlehammer alone. Weavel needs to use a variety of weapons, especially powerful ones like the Magmaul and Imperialist. Battlehammer, with its affinity splash, is great for mid- to long-range combat. But it can be hard to aim, so you need to practice.

The Halfturret also needs practice to use well. You seem to have gotten this point already, but don't leave the turret anywhere for very long. Especially if you are up against a Sylux. The best use of Weavel's alt is confusion: when two things are attacking, one ends up being ignored. Use misdirection to focus attacks on the turret, which will magically disappear before they can do any real damage.

When retreating, switch constantly between turret and biped while moving. This will both throw off attacks and hopefully get some hits on pursuers.
I have one, if you are doing a 1on1 battle against a trace. choose Harvester as the stage.  Quickly get the imperialist  :?  Then collect stuff and stay behind the barriers on the inside of the level.  By this time the trace probably is in a sniping spot.  Walk up to the barriers on either side and go into scope mode to seek them out.  Then BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!! HEADSHOT!!!!!!!! Then repeat.

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to try it.

I have a question, where do you find the deathalt in Ice hive, I've been searching for 2 days now in one on one bot matches and I still haven't found it.
About the deathalt, you find it in the room where you get the judicator in adventure. Go up the ramp then go to the side opposite the broken pillars. On the wall is an extremely well hidden hole and inside it is the deathalt.

btw, there are two holes, each on the opposite side of the room from each other. Don't get the empty one confused with the deathalt one like I did until I saw someone get it during a battle.

I know I had found the deathalt shortly after I posted that, unfortunately my internet wouldn't work so i couldn't edit my last post.
about the deathhalt...Morphball could instantly kill the other(s) hunters because Samus in alt form could use Morph Ball Bombs to get to higher ledges to kill the hunter. So Samus had the most advantage in height w/ deathhalt Wink
