He can also bomb jump the same way Samus can.

Learned this from some fellow m2k2 playas online: ( :) )

If you're having a real hard time getting direct hits on people (particularly the shock coil, it is only really effective if you're actually aimed right at the target even though it appears to track your target), try lowering your touchscreen sensitivity in the game options. You wont turn quite as fast, but it may help your accuracy.

I've been testing out for people who are effective against trance. (Note: All these were preformed against bots, so they may not be effective online, the majority of these are just common sense)

- I found that Kandem's alt form works very well when fighting Trance's alt form, although it will take a while to kill the Triskelion, it will be very difficult for you to be hit by it's jump attack.  Simply move in strange patterns and continually unload stingers. (This might work for samus, but morph balls don't home in on a target like the stingers do)

- If you think you might have a sniper aiming for you, I found it advisable to change to alt form, that way you get rid of the auto kill headshot. (I don't know if weavel can still be taken out by a headshot in his alt form)

These are just some other things I found, they aren't really tricks.

- The Dialanche's ability to climb walls should not be used in combat, it slows you down thus making you an easy target.  This ability is also quite useless out of battle, when I climbed a vertical surface I couldn't get onto any platform that was attached to the wall, even when the wall served as a ledge to the platform.  This could have simply been an error on my part.

- You can avoid being hurt when falling off a large ledge by jumping in middair before you hit the ground.

- Weavel's alt form should not be deployed in a large open room, unless completely necessary, it will simply be shot from afar.  In close quarters the turret can rapidly fire at enemies with good accuracy and if in a small room it is hard to hit and avoid.

- (This is probably in the manual but I'll say it anyway) When Weavel is in his alt form not only does each half have half your total health but, when someone shoots the turret it does full damage to the turret and the top section.  When someone shoots the top section, I found that only the top section recieved damage.
Anywhere, everywhere
Spire doesn't get hurt by lava, if that counts as a trick.

The most effective way to kill people in multiplayer is to use morph ball and bomb people.  That's what I do when I play multiplayer.  I'm still always getting wasted by the other players though.

Pretty nice how the game runs, even with Download PLay.

Yet oddly enough he does get hurt by the fire effect of his own weapon :/.

there are a few times when this is useful.  playing Nodes in Combat hall, Spire can reach the upper level node much more easily and faster than anyone else. The trick is to roll on a railing or other part of the wall that is above the ground level you are trying to get  onto. Keep pushing against the wall and move forward, and when you reach the edge of the railing, you will roll onto the floor.

There are other uses, but I just used this example tos how when his wall climbing ability can be a strength.

I'm a little tied up right now but ill update the OP soon. :)

Neither Trace nor Weavel can be killed via Imperialist Headshot, even though they both have heads.
In the stage with the cloak item. It's much more easyier to get the cloak with spier than any other chacter. It's possible to get it without spier but it takes much practices and percise timing.

Perhaps your technique is not all that effective after all, eh?
An extremely cheap (IMO) trick that I found in Head Shot is to go strait for the invincible morph ball thingamajoo at the start of the battle. After you get it it is usually easy to find an opponent (from my experience with this during a 1 on 1 battle they always seem to hang out in the upper part of the main room. Especially when they're trace). It comes back at around 2 1/2 min if you're doing a 7 min battle (still gotta check that). It's best to do this with Samus, Kanden, or Sylux cuz you can go into alt form and drop bombs around your victi- er, opponent like there's no tomorrow. Kanden's alt is prolly the best cuz of his little spawns and their darn sacrificial benefits. Rolling Eyes I find this especially useful for when I've had a bad day and wanna pwn sum l33t n00bs. Twisted Evil I still haven't lost using it but I try not to (ab)use it too much cuz where's the fun in that?

If we are talking about the fault line level here it is much quicker and easier to simply move onto the jump pad that is supposed to bring you to the tunnel that connects two parts of the fault line and move towards the ledge with the cloak item.  If you still can't make it remember that you can middair jump.  Note the jump pad I'm talking about shoots you straight up, I'm not talking about the one pad that shoots you diagonally to the point that you get hurt when you land.

Well, actually, my friends are also using that technique against me too, and they like to stock up on health everytime they take a 5 point damage hit.  I only stock up when I need it, so that could also result in it. I didn't mean it as in that's my technique.  Just one that's always used against me.  MY technique is to use the Zoom-In-Laser thingy in the One level with the lava.  Stand up there and Snipe people with it.  Can you say, Headshot?

I've personally headshotted both (and been headshotted as Trace).

initially I thought they were talking about alt forms here, but now i'm kinda confused.
Quote from Wes:
-Sylux can "fly" or rather stay in the air forever in alt form on low grav maps using his bombs. Simply go to a stage such as Headshot, turn to alt form, and start rapidly pressing L.

I'd just like to make it clear that I was first to post this, and it can also be done on maps other than low gravity maps, but it's not infinite.

In Capture, it's a good idea to use Sylux, because his shock coil is a quick kill and people can't avoid it by morphing. If you're playing Capture and notice that someone chose Sylux, however, choose Noxus. Using Noxus, you have a good defense; if Sylux chases you with the Shock Coil, just freeze him.
Bangaa Bishop
the bombing in the air forever trick is infinite if you don't spam the L button too fast... it doesnt take very rapid pressing to stay in the air.
if you spam out the L button it will eventually die out.
Bangaa Bishop
thats why you dont spam it, just press it like once a second or so, and you will never run out. :)
The shock coil when used by sylux restores your health, and since it has a "homing" ability, it makes it great to fight a Prime Hunter with, since you can easily drain their health into yours until they die, and you usually end up with 199 energy by the time you become the hunter.

if fighting weavel using sylux and the opponent uses their alt form, sand still and shock coil the turret, you do more damage to it then it does to you, even if it starts shooting fast and the opponent begins to attack you, when the turrent is destroyed, a second of shock coil will kill your opponent
Yea i do the weval trick offten but usually people clue in and spam morphs.

regarding Sylux's lockjaw tripwire bombs. If you place three in a tight triangle around someone, it does a ton of damage.

enemy touches 1 bomb - a little damage
enemy breakts 2 bomb tripwire- more damage
enemy is surrounded by a 3 bomb triangle - big damage :)
lol big damge...yea..i use to use trip wire alot.
There are these really big green circular things in Oubliette...if your on the botton or top and fire at it the shots will go to the top or bottom making it very useful...
everybody knows it's true
In Dubliette, you can ghetto up the sides of the middle thing for a quick rush to the Omega Cannon.
