The first ghetto isn't that hard just hold L and spacejump against the wall, holding forward. For the other ghetto's make sure you don't hold L when you land from your ghetto, the chance of sliding of the ledge is pretty big when you hold L, works for other small ledges too.
in the name of justice!
oh, that will help quite a bit, i think.  i didn't have too much trouble getting to the first ledge, but things started to suck after that.  thanks.
You are talking about the PPC climbing the ledges up to top without spider thing, right?

I am also having problems with that, but thanks to your advice, I will have some help doing it.

I am stuck on these:

1. Biohazard Containment set of DBJ's.
2. Main Quarry Ghetto to top quickly.
3. Arboretum Speed trick.

Can anyone help me with these?
2=Oooooo, I'm not able to do that either, but there's an alternative. Climb the and jump to where that save station is and look up. You'll see you can jump on to that crossing that you can jump onto. Not fast, but at least you don't wake the pirates so you have an oppirtunity to dash to the ice door.

3=Don't place the DBJ fast like you normally would to go high. Place the last bomb at the last second you can to get propelled by it. Remember to hold the analog stick in the up-right corner do you get that push. Or you could go in that corner and do a 3BJ.

Nah, I was referring to getting to top of Arboretum fast.

1) for the first bj, lay the last bomb a little bit early, and then pull back as the first bomb hits, and forward as the second hits to get the momentum needed to get on the ledge.  for the second, you just need a somewhat-tricky ladder bj.

2) assuming you are talking about when first entering the room, thats actually not a ghetto at all iirc.  just line yourself up so you have a relatively clear shot at where the walkway meets the rocky ledge, and l or r jump toward it.

3) do the same thing as with the first bj, but lay the last bomb near the peak.
edit: jump to the lower hive on the tree, then to the upper hive, then to an inivisble ledge slightly ahead.  the last one can be tricky to land on at first.
Ok then RF! Just get to the first level normally, destroy the hive you're going to get on if you want then jump onto it. This part is wierd, keep shooting around with the power beam to see what place is solid or not. The wall you jump on is ivnisible so that's why you need to do that, and once you've done that jump on the invisible wall. Then onto the gate floor! Now you're done :D .
That's what I was missing: destroying the hive first!  No wonder I was having problems landing on it :)

destroying the hive is not mandatory...
I just do it so I don't get any bug bites :).

if you jump on the hive before passing the vine thing that is hanging next to the walkway you jump from, the wasps aren't even triggered in the first place.
I am attempting a no-boost game and need pointers on:

1]Can't really help you on that, the videos on site should, though.
2]Hmmm, remember you need to go to the center of the water, then break the lid of that spinner thing; then stay on the lip and go in, from there on it should go smoothly.
3]Try your best to ladder this DBJ, and practice the timing, it's very important.
4]You need to learn the HBJ, then master it, then you'll be able to get up.
Anybody help me?
Videos on site did not help much.  Any other pointers?
A no boost game is hard. Just practice. There aren't any magical solutions, unfortunatetly.

I know that!  I JUST WANT  SOME TIPS TO MAKE IT EASIER!

and as he said, there really aren't any tips to make it easier...
if you've read the site, then you know all you need to know.
You can get tips on M2K2's main site, in the Metroid Prime section, under "Skipping the Boost Ball", starting with http://www.metroid2002.com/without_boost_artifact_of_strength.php.

I want additional help in addition to that because I could not replicate what other people did on the videos.

SO MAY I HAVE SOME TIPS PLEASE?!?!

the pages give everything that you could possibly need to know.  there is no magic easy solution.  the only advice anyone could give is to keep trying and practicing.  if you think you'll be able to get it in a small amount of time, with a little amount of effort, you are trying the wrong game.
btw there is also a dash jump method that u forgot to mention. Stand on the left side and dash off of the puffer thats below u to get to the other side.
If there were any additional tips to give, they would be on those pages. Skipping the boost ball is INCREDIBLY hard. The videos are misleading, as they only show the successful attempts. There were probably many, many unsuccessful attempts for each video. For instance, I know for a fact that even the best at geothermal core without boost can take hours, if not days, at a time before getting it right a single time. Even then, it cannot be reliably reproduced. To do it again will take another whole day or two.

Didn't Nate once make a video showing a whole load of unsuccessful attempts at the jump to the bomb slot? If anyone has a link to that, I think it'd be kind of appropriate right now.
Just wacth jack's SS 22% run.  He misses Vent Shaft and Geo core quite a few times.  Still not that many mistakes.  Amazing run...
http://www.metroid2002.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3303 (If the video link doesn't work scroll down and you should find another link.)

this is a pretty cool video that shows some failed attempts. I made a geo vid too, I'll upload it, wait a sec.

Edit: www.chrisvandijke.nl/stefan/movies/MetroidPrime.wmv (30 MB)

I also made an introduction part, don't know if everything worked out in the vid but it should be fun.
If I'm not mistaken smlingjack can get into the bombslot once every 20 mins or something like that.
