I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've tried holding left on the joystick, not holding left.. I don't know what is wrong. I dash to the left, but I can't make it.. What do I press, and how do I time it? I figure I shouldn't hold left at all, at least I don't think. I notice that sparky doesn't turn in the air at all. But if I don't press left, I seem to fall shorter than if I do, and I hear the dash sound go off each time, so I know it's not me just pressing jump without a dash etc. I move left, tap b, let go of l and b and dash, but no success getting on the ledge. I think I got it like once, but I didn't really notice what I did right.

It's a bit late but I tried it again just now because I forgot how I used to do it. I made both dashes about 5 times in a row before I stopped, but I've never tried to do it in an actual segment of a speed run, so I'm sure that's the reason it was consistent.

I bend both dashes back, so first I jump on the hive, then use the hive hanging below the portal for the first dash. I hit L + left + B at the same time, moving the stick to south as soon as it reaches left (whole thing is one motion). Then hold R some time in there.. I think right after the stick reaches left. I keep L/R and down held until I land, just like WSA if you've tried that.

For the next dash I do the same thing, except using the door you came in from.

I know the hive is already scanned in the vid, but just ignore that. I messed up a few times because I didn't remember which way to bend the first dash. If you weren't bending the dashes back, that's probably the reason you couldn't make it before. At least that's how I do it, maybe there's a better method but I've never heard of one.

I can't do the BSJ...

I do the morphed bomb jump with the Insta-unmorph and i get the HUD, but i can't jump after that...

Im trying to jump the Hive Gate.

Press B directly after pressing X, not when you're unmorphed, directly after pressing X. I saw a video of the ing hive gate, and from that, I copied the movie, and that's how I learned bsj, I didn't even know how to do it. :)

I was just wondering if someone could explain me how to do the double BSJ, as I didn't find any description...
I haven't got any poblem for the single BSJ, but it seems different for the double BSJ, I've never done it yet.

Do a 3bj instead.

Well, you must set your third bomb pretty low, or you wont be able to jump, or so I heard, I never use double BSJ's.

The 2bj is performed by placing the second bomb before you reach the maximum height from your first bomb.

It's just like the 3bj, but you only lay 2 bombs instead of 3.

You may already be doing this, but heal all your energy tanks on his second form (where you are the Morph Ball). It's really easy to do.

That isn't necessary, just get through the second phase fast, on phase one just practic accuracy when the tentacles die and dodge the laser, thrid phase just Annihilator Beam him like mad.

Yeah, that's what I do now, but the first time through I healed on his second form. It helped me a lot, but now it would be a waste of time.

My disk is crap. Every time I start a BSJ, the camera doesn't go through the wall and just changes my postition. When I get a good screw through Quad's leg for the cobalt SW, the game puts me in morph ball so I wouldn't be in SW. Does this happen normally, or does Costco sell crappy versions of MP:2?

if it's a pc version, then it's supposed to be like that.

otherwise, you really do have a crappy disc

if that's the case, try cleaning the disc, possibly using scratch remover if needed

Grrr, this boost ball guardian will make me crazy. I need help for being able to beat him in only two rounds, cause I can't defeat him in 3 rounds with 5 energy tanks and without dark suit...
So, i watched Sparky's fight against boost guardian again and again, I did exactly what he did: fire 4 normal non charged light beam, then two fully charged light beam, and then 4 normal light beam again. In his vid, the boost guardian lost 50-60% of his health. but when i do it, he loses only 40% of his health !
That's why i would to know if he does somthing special... thanks.

If you shoot him 3-4 times with light beam, you should be able to shoot a charged one before he turns to puddle form, shoot him when he's in puddle form and start charging again, when he reforms, shoot again before he starts his boostie thing. Then jump up on one of the pillars, and start jumping on it, 'cause you wanna be in the air if he hits it.

And for the red puddle, I think it's 9 bombs or 3 rounds as red puddle for him to reform as an Ing, so when he turns to red puddle, lay 2 bombs, and then lay 3 bombs very fast infront of him, and you'll have 5. I've done it in 2 rounds of red puddle many times, but I don't know if it's because I do like I do when I lay bombs like that, or if there's another explanation.

If you're playing on normal difficulty, you should be able to kill him in 2 rounds pretty easily, just keep trying.

I'll try on normal w/ 2 energy tanks some day if I find time.

Wow, no dark suit and 2 energy tanks o_O
I know it's not something impossible, I already beat him in 3 rounds with 6 tanks, but with 5 tanks it's much harder, at least for me.
Anyway, thanks, I will try again later.

EDIT: I finaly did it, in 3 rounds. It wasn't that hard :P

I don't know what to do : I tried for more than 5 hours to do the double BSJ and I can't do it. It took me 2 mins to learn the single BSJ but the double is frustrating.

When exactly I must start to hold the down button to make it?

1) When to press the down button to get an instant unmorph?
2) When to press the jump button?
