Every Bit Counts
Does anyone know the lowest percent?
I've gotten the ice beam, Varia Suit, beaten ole' Crocomire, and in the mean time explored and gathered up some more powerbombs, missles, and supermissles... but now what do I do? where should I go next? (currently roaming brinstar and crateria)
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Grapple Beam IIRC
Ya, I knew that much :P now how to get there... hmm...
finally got the grapple beam :D now I have to figure out how to get back to the surface... This is a awsome hack :)
Almost happy
I've desided to start playing this hack again, last time I did so I only got a third of the way through then my coputer crashed and I lost motivation. But I was wondering, is there any decent walkthrough guide of this game anywhere? I quite easily get bored and stop playing if I get stuck for an hour or so and from what I have understood there are quite a few places where this can happen.
I have seen maps, but no walkthroughs... and the maps are frustrating because they are missing a LOT of the non-door obstacles which stand in your way... so if you try using it as a guide, you spend 15 minutes going somewhere that looks like you can explore, only to find that you need something to get past a wall.
Almost happy
Ok then I'll just have to try anyway. Oh and BTW, is it just me or is it WAY harder to 1 wall walljump on walls at the right side of rooms?
yay i finally finished it with 94.5% (weird) and 14:28 (bad)
i just started this game after beating limit...am I supposed to not be able to walljump? Walljumping is one of my favorite pasttimes...
Time bomb set get out fast!

Wall jump is an upgrade in this game.  The readme should probably say so directly (it does hint at it, though).

And speaking of things the readme should mention... DrewSeph, I love this hack so far, it's amazing work, but there's something critical you don't warn players about.  Most players know you can midair morph in Super (this is the game that introduced it, after all).  But the fact that you can do it right at the peak of your jump is really obscure.  It's counterintuitive, not something you'd think of trying unless you already know it works (especially since it doesn't work in Fusion or ZM).  I didn't remember it, and I've watched Smokey and Scarlet's runs more times than I can count.

All this would be irrelevant if the move were only required for expansions and whatnot.  But when something so obscure is necessary just to advance in the game, I think it's only fair to give us some warning.
I half agree with that.  though in the Axiel edition I am slowly working on I have gone out of my way to fix as many level design issues that complicate game play.  though MAM is required,  I'll include it in that readme.
I'm stuck :(

I've had this game for a while, but never got around to beating it.  I'm at the elevator to Norfair.  I have 3 energy tanks and that's about it.  I go down the elevator and I'm guessing this is the "Hell run" i keep hearing about.  I run left, bombing the wall and dieing shortly after.. If I run right, I get past the lava and to the respawning enemies and I refill there before I keep going.  I get to a mini morph ball maze and I die there.  What am I doing wrong?  Cause I really like this hack :(
well, you're not making it through the mini moprhball maze fast enough, since that is the  last room.. you can easily reach the door with 10-30 energy left without save states.... I use a keybaord too.
I am completely stuck in a room with absolutely no way out, I believe. I am right before the room of Kraid, with the purple door, and the only items I have are walljump boots, morph and bombs, supers, missiles. I can't open the purple door, and the door I came from locked.
iirc the purple doors take 25 missles...
Yeah, they take 25 missiles or 5 supers.  Or any combination of the two where 5 missiles = 1 super.
holy gunship...
am i supposed to be fighting kraid anyway? I only just got charge beam.
EDIT:

Nevermind, I finally figured out what was wrong.  I didn't have full energy when I started the run near the spawning enemies.  I had about 20 less.

I finally got it :)

Edit2:  I'm stuck again lol.  How am I suppose to do the bomb maze at the bottom of Norfair?  I can't seem to figure out the pattern.
Which   bomb maze? :P

I've been wondering how to get some missles....  I'm thinking it must require that I learn to do IBJ'ing.  Because there are some pretty high shafts that I don't come close to getting to the top of.  Crying or Very sad
The one near the save station.  There are three vertical tubes and it looks like you have to diagonally bomb jump to get above them to get across and I don't know the trick of doing it :/
There's no part in the game (at least the natural route) that requires you to do diagonal, horizontal or infinite bombjumps. Double bombjump is the worst thing there is. If you find a spot that you think needs an IBJ, it's the wrong spot and you need to go elsewhere.
I've seen alot of people talk about it, but I don't know how to do it.  I haven't gotten anything but the Ice Beam, and Varia.  I made my way down the long shaft of Norfair, went through a mini maze using the morph ball, continued going down, found a savestation, and that's where I'm stuck.  There is lava, and a bomb jumping puzzle I have to do near a super missile door.  I've seen from a few people on here that it is a "life-death" puzzle.. So I know it's possible.  I just can't figure out the trick.
I just beat Kraid, and I headed to Norfair with 2 etanks and 3 supers and 47 misiles and I keep dying. Should I have more stuff? Where should I go? If I just need more etanks please tell me the ones I can get currently.
Look for 3rd etank in red Brinstar.
