I went in there to see if there were any weird chozo statues like there was in other save rooms.  As far as I know, there is only one other hack that put an item in a save room:  SFI.

Where is there a save point with an item in SFI?

You're right, the item I was thinking of in SFI is actually in an energy recharge room, not a save room.  So as far as I know, colors is the only hack with an item in a save room.

Is that a special feat?

You make hacks, you tell me if its special.  Always wondered why it's never really done.  Always assumed that map rooms, save rooms, and missile/energy refill rooms weren't easy to add things to since its done so rarely.

Wouldn't you just have to swap the PLM pointer with a room that has two PLM's in it (1 for the save/map/energy restore/missile restore, 1 for the item), and the save room's PLM pointer, and set the PLM count to account for the change? Doesn't seem that hard to me.

I have no idea what you're talking about, as I said it was just an assumption based on the fact that it's something nobody seems to ever want to do.

There's nothing particularly special about that, though I guess you could break a room if you added PLMs without repointing? Nah.

Depends on whether or not there's free or unused space beyond the PLM's you used in the room. I wouldn't be the one to ask about this  - I removed an enemy from a room once and managed to cause the starting position to completely mess up.

Not even possible, unless you took it down to zero enemies, or maybe if you removed the ship from the landing site.

Only hack with an item in a save room?...

What about Redesign?

Edit: I was just saying.  I don't mean to hijack.

And...  I did have this in the list, then I played it...  The part where I was on a lift, ducked to shoot some blocks (to get then out of my way) then I went back down the lift.  aiwebs_031

Then I was like...   [-(  Nuh-uh, not doing this!

My results in SM Colors (Extreme) version, it's a crazy thing reach a +100% score.

Why not try jumping, doing a midair morph, and come up to a crouch when you land? That'd probably work, unless the roof is too low for you to jump.

Using the translator from Acheron86 in the Volta thread, I translated the hack that Zhs2 found from Japanese to English and this is what I got:

In English

Hammer [ri] [metoroido

This is the untranslated name:

ハマりメトロイド

So, now we have an idea what to rename that neat little mini-hack....  grin new
Has anyone beaten the first hack posted in this thread, the boss rush one?  I encountered a glitch during the escape that prevented me from finishing.  Other than that, it's kind of a cool boss rush hack.  Draygon and GT are hard.

I played the other one for a bit but ran into too many game-stopping glitches and ran out of patience.
