Yo.

I actually have .ips files for the both of them. There were two versions: Colors Basic and Colors Extreme. (Don't ask me why; contrary to their names, neither is a palette hack.)

Apologies for the weird names; they came that way. Also, I've no idea if they are for unheadered or headered. Enjoy!

EDIT: Fix'd em... I think it was the naming. Anyways, I gave them English names and now they work. Yippee!

Yep, it's definately quite different from the video.... I tried the beginning of both difficulty levels and it is indeed different from the video. I'll probably have fun with this but hopefully someone can find the .ips identical to the video. grin new

Whoops. I coulda sworn this was the Colors you were talking about... Indeed, I just happened to remember I had a Colors Basic and a Colors Extreme from the Japanese site, so I thought they were the ones. Well, there ya go. BTW, are you sure the video matches neither version? It sounds like you guys are only referring to one hack. :| Well, besides Schnozzy.

I had to use smile for crocomire because of acid (all I did is to change from acid to water). Otherwise, it's not beatable.

Sweet, after some more searching I finally found it!! What Zhs2 is giving us is a neat mini-hack but NOT the same as what I'm attaching to this post. This is truly the hack from the video, unlike what Zhs2 is giving us.

Ohhhhhh, I see it now. Those .ips files I attached are actually mighty old. Sorry, guys! I really do mean it; I grabbed them but never played them, and never watched the video y'all posted. Go me. :(

Really enjoying this one so far. Lotsa glitches & permastuck places but nothing a save state cant overrule. I normally don't appreciate any attempts to alter Samus' colors, but so far this looks nice.

EDIT:

This is a pretty good hack so far. Does anyone know when it was made or who made it? It can't be the 7star guy, his style is too distinct.

Yeah its a half hack. I couldnt get the videos to work either. I clicked on play and waited like 15 seconds and never tried again. Be sure to use th IPS patches that are about halfway down the first page, I dont think that the ones in the second post are the right ones.

They're not. That was my fault. The ones in the second post (my post) are much, much older versions (perhaps demoworthy.) Take the ones from Shnozzy's post halfway down the page.

Beat SM Colors (Basic), i can't beat it normally due to a glitch in Mother Brain's room, so i used the VAR beam trick.
This hack is very impressive, my favorite glitch is the "16 Energy Tanks"

I'll try the "Extreme" version right now

Man we are having a had time getting grapple:

I'm using the 'enemy boosting' technique in the long jump room to go from silver block to silver block, but when I get to the last block I cant seem to get up to the ledge where grapple is. I use the enemy boost on the first mella but it doesnt boost me far/high enough to get to the ledge. I try to jump over the first mella and do the boost off of the second one, but I cant seem to jump that far, even if i deactivate hi-jump. some help would be much appreciated. awesome hack so far, im loving it.

It's the one way back up in Crateria, the slanted purple room. You can get it right after Supers.

Also, out of curiosity, do you have Charge Beam?

Aw man I have to go all the way back up there! thanks for your help. YES I have charge beam.

EDIT: Well shit, it looks like im totally screwed being down here without Ice Beam. There's no way to get out of norfair without grapple, and I cant get grapple w/o ice beam. dammit! oh nevermind, i found a way out.
