Loving that TAS.  Kraid battle was hilarious, and the mockball before him was pretty awesome looking.

Hehe, I'm looking forward to this TAS even more than Saturn's Redesign one.  Redesign was good at first, but it really went downhill once you got to Maridia.  Cliffhanger is much better.  Great quality all the way through.

So, any sequence breaking coming up?

Ehh.. We are trying.. DMantra has his shit on lock down tho. =\

We wanted (and could have) to skip Kraid and the Ice Beam until after WS, where we would have supers. That didn't work because there are metroids to kill in there. =\ Also wanted to skip grapple, but that is also impossible.

Progress is moving nicely tho. ^.^

So glad to see a great hack getting TAS treatment from the best. Keep it up, guys.

I just realized that I forgot to get the energy tank in upper eldridge.  Will it reappear somewhere else in the game? (easy version)

EDIT: nevermind, it popped up.    I'm assuming this etank is the one that replaces the one in upper eldridge since its just sitting right out in the open.

Congs! easy or original, animals saved? all lore found? I need the fine print. :)
Bleh. x.x Alright, I managed to find the entrance to
Green Brinstar, thanks to this thread. Now I'm in the water room, where the Ostrich Bird Thing That Is Green And Runs is running around. Easy version. What do I do here? I could keep trying for a while here, but I'm not sure; I'm not too good at Quick Charge, I'm not sure if Speed Boosters works in water without Gravity in the first place, plus I don't know if I can walljump up the walls here.
Uh, any help? Sorry.

you can wall jump up the left side.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, I told you that I was going to go for 100%, but I didn't know how many items I had left, so I went and finished the game, and accidentally overwrote my PoNR savestate in the escape. I guess I'll just have to stick with 88% 6:05 original, animals not saved, all lore found. :|
what.
I'm not sure if this has been asked yet or not, (I'm not very inclined to read all 45 pages of this...  i read the first ten but lord i want to play it not read about it), but what is -required- to get through this?  all difficulties please?

(probably easy only, i doubt i'll play any harder difficulties as in the first ten pages i heard talk of shinesparking and speed/mockballs...)

I'll admit, I'm not the best at SM, but i can walljump easily (thanks redesign), but infinite bomb jumping is tough, and i find horizontal bomb jumps impossible.  hell, i still can't diagonally airdash....at all.  (It's pitiful, and i cry every time i think i need it.)

The link describes all the required techniques.

"Original Version
Requires mock/speedball, quick charge, ibj/hbj, echoes, crouchjumping, and fast mid air morphs.

Easy Version
Omits difficult techniques, so that moderate players can also enjoy Cliffhanger."

If you feel unsure, I strongly suggest the easy version. There are parts in the original version which may drive moderate players to simply giving up.
what.

ibj, hbj, mock/speedball...  those'll be the breakers for me.  I don't mind suitless heat runs, crouchjumping, or even the midair morphing, those were easier then re-learning to walljump in redesign.  But i am terrible at bombjumping more then a few high, and horizontal is something i'll never get down pat.  Oh well.

Thanks for the very quick reply!
IBJ i can pull it out without high jump boots (dunno why) but HBJ is beyong my reach, unless i saw someone doing it in front of me...

I apologize for what seemed like a stupid post. I'm not that skilled at certain things, nor do I know techniques inside and out. I'll try to wall jump now. X-Box emulator lacks slowdown buttons...

ok, it was the easy version, i didn´t save the animals xD, but i found all lore  8-)

man its a great hack, i enjoyed playin it! THX MAN laugh new grin new
Awesome hack!
Thanks DMantra!
what.
Every SM hack...  every time.    I keep getting stuck early on.

I've fallen and i can't get up.  And by that i mean the ripper-tube that leads to the first heat-run for the speedbooster.  I apparently missed the charge beam back before this, but i have 1 set of missiles, 2 tanks (i found the second AFTER coming back from the heated run), and speedbooster.  (morph/bombs too obv)

Am i supposed to walljump back up the ripper tube or am i missing somthing?
Did you say u got speed booster already?  If so, you need to kill Kraid.  Look for him in relatively the same place as the original game.

what.
ok, so I found a path right after posting, but the door barely a screen past it seems to be unreachable without some of those advanced moves that I am horrible at doing, specifically, a speed-boosted morphball form.  I'm sure i got the easy version so i shouldn't need to do that, right?

edit: nvm, i'm a moron for posting too fast about it.
This hack is epic. I've been wandering around for a while after having grabbed Power Bombs, I managed to find the Spazer and power ups. I'm not sure where to go, though. What would be the path after Power Bombs?

Also, to relax I decided to go play the original SM again after some Cliffhanger. Your hack has practiced me to the point I'm doing sequence breaks that previously looked too difficult without many problems. Especially Wall Jumping.

Kick ass.
I believe that after the power bombs, it's time for a trip to the noob tube.
Where do I go after I get the speed booster on easy version?

You need to kill Kraid next.

his location is:
bomb the right wall at the top of the norfair elevator, jus tlike in the orignal game.  then get ready to do a short/quick charge.

Thanks for helping
I just got done doing Hells Run (I used 1 tank, I didn't know you could have 2 tanks to do it) and speed booster.  I went up the elevator to the far left.  It looks like I'm supposed to bomb jump back through the fall I came from, but I dunno how to do it without hitting one of those 4 flying beetles.  I'm thinking bomb jump up, but doing weird angled bomb jumps out of a wall jump only lets me do it like once or twice, it wouldn't be enough to get up there.  I'm thinking I'm on the right track, but not positive.

also for future reference, how do you do spoilers?
