According to my guide: if you have supers and seeker and you charge up to fire a super, one super missile is fired at the main target while one missile flies towards the other (seeker) targets.
I definitely didn't know that.  I'll use it next time.

I've probably gone crazy too since I'm doing something that paid professionals should've done.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
The seeker thing is required to open the door near the end, so you must have known about it. Razz
I didn't know it became 1 Super PLUS 4 regulars.  I thought it became 5 regulars.

Oh, another thing I forgot to mention that disappointed me is the music, or lack thereof. Ridley's theme, the music after Adam dies, and Phantoon's theme. That's all there is that's good. Metroid games are supposed to be filled with awesome music.
ANKOKU
This one tried to emphasize the "lonliness" with the ambient music.
Phoenix
That's no excuse. This is one of the LEAST "lonely" Metroid games, since other soldiers are on board. Samus was much more alone in Super or Prime, which had awesome music.

It's not like you can call them anytime you want.  They're not even around you until they die for the most part.  Just because they're "on board" doesn't mean you're not isolated, fighting bioweapons.
Phoenix
That's not the point. The lonely factor isn't greater than more musical Metroid games.
I'm not following you on that one.
Phoenix
Samus is pretty much always on her own wandering around creepy enemy infested places, so why start having a shitty lack of real music to try and set that mood now?
They were going for the same thing in Fusion, it's just this creepy place you explore.

LOL

At least what is good is great.
One thing that I really hate about the first part of the Queen fight is that if you fuck up on one of the waves of metroids that come out and as a result you find that there are 5 metroids on the screen, you can attempt to freeze them all for like 15 minutes before you die.  It's better just to reset the damn thing then to attempt to make up for that one little mistake.

the metroid are really annoying this time around... but fission metroids are worse...
I 100% agree.  I hate Fission Metroids with a passion.  Although if it weren't for the Flood in Halo, I never would've gone back and beaten Prime.  I hate those things.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
And of course those fuckers at Retro add MORE fissions to Trilogy... sons of bitches.
My route allows me to have plenty of power bombs to take care of all fission metroids I run into.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
luckily the Fission Metroid die easily to PBs.
Someone should've told Adam that.

Samus:  "Adam, power bombs can destroy Metroids."

Adam:  "Wait, what?"

I mentioned this elsewhere, but with the Metroids, if you just dodge them for a bit, and deliberately let them group, they all get caught in your diffusion blast, and are all frozen at once.
I like turtles.

Well, to be fair, Power Bombs were in their Prime back then and killed pretty much anything in one hit.

They still do in OM. The beetle guys are about the only non-boss enemy they can't instant-kill.

Just for curiosity's sake, can someone hack early PBs and see if they do in fact kill the Metroids?

Time bomb set get out fast!
Pfft, Adam knew full well that Samus could defeat the Metroids. She could either Power Bomb them or trash the joint like he did. But he also knew it would cost her her life -- don't try and tell me Power Bombs wouldn't trigger the autodestruct. Without a way to take out the Metroids individually, whoever entered Sector Zero was gonna die. He chose to take that bullet for her.

(Now why they couldn't find a nice violent robot or something and send that in...)

I can top that -- it's entirely possible to fight them indefinitely. You can Sensemove forever and there's at least one good opportunity to Concentrate. (Wait for the Queen to do two Wave Quakes; the Metroids regroup at that point.) And if, like me, you think the Queen's waves destroy frozen Metroids on the ground, you won't even realize you're not making progress!
