Ok I will try that on my next randomizer. I elected to randomise Truth on the condition that I still have to get it, and to keep Wave beam in its place so I don't get screwed.

What's the combination to go to the home-brew channel?

Just turn off the auto boot feature. If it's crashing, it should spit out an error.

And Nintendont is great because it's only been in development for a few months - the build we're using is a very early release. It also sees near constant updates and is open source so it will continue to do so, while Devolution and DIOS MIOS have been long dead. I'm hoping for bluetooth controller support soon like Devo has. I'm on Wii U, so Classic Controller support would be great (and for Prime, Wii U Pro would work too, since it doesn't use the analog triggers in any special way). Wired PS3 controllers are supported now, which is good enough, and I am a fan of its fully customizable controls. I would imagine that in time, it will pass Devo in terms of compatability.

mp1 and mp2 actually use the analog shoulder buttons of the GC controller. scanning/dashing doesn't work correctly with a pro controller. that's why i opted to play randomizer on the old wii in the end.

Hmm, I always used Classic Controller or PS3 which have analog triggers anyway. I'm pretty sure in the controller.ini file you could set the digital triggers to act as a full click on the GC triggers, too. Dunno. Either way, I guess there's that GC controller adapter coming out with Smash. :P

CFG USB Loader doesn't play gamecube games. It just boots up another app of your choice.

I know, and I have it pointing to Dios Mios Lite because that's the only thing that works for me :(

That's cool! I just don't get an option since I'm on Wii U.

well, PS3 and Classic Controller actually have the analog function and work fine (i used a PS3 controller when i beat mp2 on wii u). it's the CC Pro and Wii U Pro controllers the ones that don't work because nintendo removed the analog triggers at that point.

hopefully that GC adapter for Wii U is easy to add to the homebrew apps. that'd make playing randomizers pretty convenient (plus, the Wii U has better video output quality)
Ah, why does nintendont work so slowly for me, any idea? I'd love to use it but it takes minutes to load individual rooms.

from experience, only HDDs loaded fast with nintendon't. i got crappy load times with SD card with it (i'm puzzled in how can devolution be fast but nintendon't so slow with the same storage medium)
Hrm, I had the opposite affect. USB took minutes to load individual rooms, with SD being somewhat more tolerable at around 10 seconds each

have you checked the way it is formatted? my HDD has 64k clusters.
Ergh, no idea how to format it correctly on a mac. SD it is.

Well, that was unexpected... http://i.imgur.com/KNovK8b.jpg
I was really confused at first because I thought the thing you were pointing out was that the gameplay was all diagonal like that. Then I realized it was the camera angle.

Hahahaha sorry. But yeah, that was interesting to say the least

EDIT: Also, for anyone who has trouble with Gathering Hall's SW, the Watery Hall SW is pretty easy to get into without SJ. Only one bomb jump, and it's a DBJ. The timing is tricky but its easier than an HBJ for people who can't do that...

EDIT #2: You can grab the item in PPC without Power Bombs... minor glitch. Should probably get fixed?

yeah there are multiple issues with scaling. The opposite problem occurs with the tree in main plaza, you can't grab whatever is in there with space jump and floaty jump from out of bounds.

I don't think you ever could? Maybe I'm wrong about that. I don't recall ever being able to
Miles did it on stream once.
In a regular game?
Does anyone know a good way to decrease input lag on Dolphin?

Yeah there needs to be some kind of preset so that Icebeam cannot ever be placed in the mines.

To be fair, you can still get it if it's in Main Quarry, provided you have Wave Beam :P But yes, customization options and other improvements are coming

how on earth can you get to the mines without ice beam?!?!  I can't get inside any of the elevator shafts because they either load in before I can get inside, or I get inside and in front of the door but the room never loads around me.!?
Can anyone link me a good utility to format my USB to 64kb clusters and such? On windows

i used this one since the HDD needs to be in FAT32 and most new HDDs don't come with that format or can't be formatted to that by default.
