Doesn't the skull look like it's been partially smash-flattened?
Maybe that has something to do with the extra hole in the upper right half of it. And despite DMantra's very active imagination, I didn't intend for it to look like much of anything =3
It's still in the early stages right now. Most of the map has been laid out though and that means of course that most of the rooms' data has been repointed and most of the tedious door adding process is done (one of the worst parts of it). But very little tiling has begun.
I'm planning to make the exploration easier than this game since it seemed a lot of people had problems with it here (although oddly enough less people on Gamefaqs had a problem with that). Perhaps by necessity with such a huge map though, people will still probably get lost.
What's this? BT's back in business? Woot. I thought you said that there wasn't going to be a third hack. Here's to being wrong :D
Well this info has been out there for awhile, although perhaps only if you read this thread closely enough up til now would you know. I think it's mentioned somewhere earlier in here.
Also, awhile ago, I took the time to gather up nonmember links to the parts of the Japanese nicovideo playthrough of GD in order, but forgot to post them:
Looks more like Giygas to me (spoilers for EarthBound)
"I...feel...happy...Samus..."
You cannot comprehend the true form of BT's hack.
Anyways, though, just finished playing through the hack, and I must say, I rather liked it. The little surprise in the escape sequence was a nice touch, although I think that's what caused the timer to screw up. Level design was annoying at first, but it sort of grew on me and now I rather like it. Only issue is that the hack often suffers from forcing you to play a game of "guess the shotblock/bombblock", which is just generally tedious.
Botwoon is in the centerish area of Tetra Ruins, coming down from the large open room before Bomb Torizo. You probably sequence broke past him as many others did.
That's why it was so hard to get into the Golden Torizo's lair--I was supposed to have the spring ball. You know, with a few more crumble blocks, I think you could have forced the item. Of course, once I got gravity, it was a simple matter to get the spring ball the back way.
Anyways, I feel I have to comment on the bosses, as they were very creative.
Bomb Torizo--Nice, but once you get over the shock, I think the fight's a bit easier this way. Torizo has trouble hitting you when you're up in the ceiling like that.
Spore Spawn--Again, nicely done. Such a small change, but such a big difference.
Crocomire--I love it. Using yellow lava might have made the fight even more epic, as it would have forced the player to use more grapple to avoid the higher lava damage.
Botwoon--Hard to tell, as he's not very hard when you come back with 65 Supers and Plasma. The idea seems fairly solid, though.
Golden Torizo--Rather annoying without Plasma, but the trick to this fight more than made up for it. I ran up there to Crystal Flash, and then noticed the item ball. Genius.
Kraid--I didn't notice any change. Actually, I don't remember any change in Cliffhanger or Redesign, either. Is it not possible to change his room?
Phantoon--again, I think it's a bit easier this way. the two little platforms make goos shields against his fireballs.
Draygon--Spikes, those fireball shooting things, blocks in the room, and not coming in at full health. Ouch. But you do have plasma, which helps a lot. Oh, and...interesting place to put the Space Jump. Somehow I missed it the first time even with X-ray.
Ridley--Ha, awesome. makes the escape that much more epic, and you get to hyper beam him, too. Unfortunately, it's not too hard to figure out that this is going to happen once you reach Mother Brain, so the surprise is not quite as great as it should be, but it's still great.
Mother Brain--Room leading up to her was good, but the actual fight seemed to have no change. Is it possible to change her room?
where do i go after grapple? There are two paths that can be opened by crumbling grapple blocks, but I cant seem to get anywhere through any of them. i think I should be getting to the eternal hall about now, but I cant seem to figure it out. I cant remember how I did it last time...

Do you have Varia? If so, the crumblegrapple block line in the large sky room under the room left of the ship where the "intro" song starts will lead you down to the Underworld where you can go pick up the next key item.
If you dont have Varia, then go to the room to the left of the "crumble-bridge" room that has the scaffolding and the large crackedblock wall and search the scaffolding for bomb blocks.
Both these locations are in DG.

With a few more crumble blocks it would've been too difficult for springballers too though. It would've been nice if it wasn't, but as it is it's just a somewhat difficult to pull off sequence break.

Anyways, great hack.
Thanks for all the feedback! This is actually what I was hoping more people would do but I got used to it when they didn't =P
With Kraid's room, the room is edittable, but because it's rather glitched up graphically, it's hard to tell what your editted room will look like without spending a lot of time loadstating and looking at your changes ingame (since that's the only way you can reliably tell what your tile formations look like ingame). So most hacks just leave it the same rather than taking the time editting it. I'll probably do an edit for it in the next hack I make though. Hopefully by then Jathys will have a way of actually displaying the room correctly in SMILE.
As far as MB is concerned, the 2nd form of MB's room is not changeable without editting her AI to allow for some blocks not to crumble when the braincase sinks into the ground, so it can't really be easily changed at all.
Out of all the full hacks, this is the only one I haven't beaten yet despite getting it at release. The reason is because I can never figure out where I'm supposed to be going.
I once had a file farther than this, but I deleted it since I'm pretty sure I sequence broke onto the WS by IBJ up a passage from Norfair. Now I have 2 e tanks, 25 missles, 5 supers, varia, morph ball, grapple, charge beam and bombs. Where now?
IBJing in there early is no problem, you can still complete the segment of the game like that.
But as for where you are now, now that you have the SMs, there's a SM door on the left side of a room in the upper left portion of Dark Gardens - 1-2 rooms away from where you got the Varia and in the 2nd bridge room that led there. If you continue past that door, you'll come down to a metal bridge with a one screen wide lava pit under it. Bomb the bridge until you find a passage, then run through the lava down until you reach the 3rd or so entrance to the Underworld. Crocomire is 1 room away from there. Don't go down an elevator if you see one until you kill him. For beating him you get the ice beam and can go to the infinite walljump room in the Underworld, take the top right door and then freeze some enemies to get to a ceiling door in a room with a chozo statue holding nothing and you'll be on your way to entering EH and WS legitly.
Ugh. I got so far. Beat Kraid, went and picked up a bunch of stuff, made it to Norfair and found myself in a room with rising acid. I STUPIDLY savestated and tried to use slowdown to beast my way to the top, but it's impossible. Time to restart the whole ****ing thing AGAIN.
...This hack is more and more becoming my definite least favorite of all fullhacks.
If that's the room I'm thinking of, it should be more than possible to savestate your way to the top. Unless you went in with some tiny amount of energy, in which case you probably should have left as soon as the rumbling started.
Full health, one row of energy tanks. I plummeted down into the acid and through the Gold pirates I went. I came out and started walljumping up with about two tanks left, I savestated here, and found out that the walljumping just couldn't be done as there was an overhang. I tried to slow it down to see if I could pixel perfect walljump over, but I couldn't and I again stupidly savestated while trying to position myself. The acid caught up, and now I'm boned no matter how I go about it.
mess with the last two values at the end of each code until you're invincible. sorry, but this is what I do to get out of shitty situations on hacks the have NO SAVE POINTS.
