no room number 7A408 it really bothers me because it looks like such a great hack

Yeah, I hated that room too. You can jump through the pillars from the ceiling, I think.
so i just started playing this hack, and while it is very hard, sometimes tedious trying to find an upgrade, it's still very enjoyable...

One problem though....  I didn't realize you could pick up the varia suit before going into underworld.  I made a save state right before the first room you take damage in and tried to make it through a couple of times, and eventually had a perfect run through the room and got into a safe zone with 55health left.  I saved my game and continued to explore underworld, picked up the grapple and an extra e-tank, and now i'm trying to get back out.  Problem is, i only have 55 health, there are no enemies to get health from nearby, and without the varia i wonder if i can even get out of here at all.

Am i stuck, or does someone have some advice on an escape.
nm, i found a spawn place for enemies in the room before you take burn damage, got to full health, and made numerous attempts untill i got through that damn room...

with 02 health left.

Atleast it was possible to get back out again.

While there's no invincible enemy in there really (unless you mean the claws, but they're killable later on) - I assume you mean the problem is that it's rather difficult to get through. You can pretty much do what Acheron mentioned and jump up into one of the pillars hanging from the ceiling, shoot the door, quickly jump off one of the crumble blocks or use the third block on the right side of the 3 block long mechanical platform that's close to the door since it won't crumble. As long as you move quickly, the claws shouldn't be able to get you, since they don't react that quickly. If you can get past that part, there's only one more annoying crumbleblock puzzle later on, although the physical difficulty is still sort of present later on in boss fights and lavarise rooms.

Yeah, I tested that part to make sure that people could get in and out without the Varia if they were good enough. It's very rough to do so but, as you've proven, it's possible. Although obviously the safer route (and basically the intended one) is to get the Varia first.
so give me a hint...  If i just got the first super missle pack in underworld...

Should i have already found the x-ray scope?

I feel that would ease a huge amount of trouble if i can pick it up soon.
No X-ray Scope 'til power bombs. Finding stuff after the Varia shouldn't be as hard as some of the earlier stuff though. There's only I believe one hidden path along the way to the key item after the first SMs and you'll most likely know it when you pass it, since without it, you'll just end up going in circles. The people who have problems after SMs typically do because they don't go back and find the unassuming SM door they passed early on in the game and use SMs on it.
i wish i could play through this game, but i'm working on mah hack, so i don't really have time.
is there a .smv of a speed run? i gess i wouldn't mind watching it if it wasn't to long. plus, i feel kinda bad, since from what i've played and seen, it looks really nice.
The page before this one has a full set of links to a run on Youtube.

Edit: I noticed you mentioned in another thread you have an issue with viewing Youtube vids, so here's the SMVs in a rar:

I have played for a few hours and I love it! I love that you need to freeze enemies to get your way through and that you need to bomb jump on some places. Finding those hidden passages is tricky ... :P.

I found a glitch :P. In "Dark Gardens" at the place where you need to use your grapple beam to open a block and get your way down (I hope you know where I mean): if you stand right next to the wall to the right, angle down and shoot your grapple beam repeatedly you end up stuck inside the wall :D.
k, so i just got power bombs and have been searching for far too damn long...

WHERE IS THE DAMN X-RAY POWER UP PLEASE!!!!

IIRC X-Ray is hanging out somewhere near morph ball bombs.
That's something I found out from Dependence. Put something way back in a somewhat obscure area from early on in the game that people only have to pass by once and they'll never (exaggeration) return to find whatever else you put there, even if the power bomb door leading to it is sitting out in the open. Not too bad to do as long as the item isn't a required one I guess. Actually I'm somewhat surprised it worked so well with the X-Ray Scope in this game - a decent amount of people mentioned they never found it.
The spinning turtle is pissing me off  Evil or Very Mad. Is it possible to get past it?
No. Basically its forcing you to take a different way into the Underworld in order to proceed that will lead to an area you haven't been to yet there (eastern Underworld).  But then you'd best have some of the random other upgrades available from the backtrack segment of the game
SpringballHijumpbootsGravitysuit grin new
or else that part of Underworld will be hell for you (although some people have been able to make it through without them).
dude, golden chozo with 20 super missles and icebeam/charge combo is punishing.

20+ attempts and i've gotten him to his final phase 3 times.  =(
Well, three things: you can go get the spazer (it'd probably be a waste of time by now though), you can get more supers (it'd probably still be a waste of time though, but a bit helpful) or you can wait 'til he uses his odd itemrefill producing attack, shoot the projectiles to get back some supers (you're probably already doing this though). Still, I never really had a problem with him when I had a low number of supers due to the aforementioned attack that will give you some back. If you're taking too much damage, try rolling under him to avoid some of his attacks. Not everyone knows that you can do that. Also, when he shoots off his little waves, always leave some supers left so you can immediately shoot some when he does that to cancel that attack, thus also saving yourself some damage. The way the fight is structured, I'll admit, it does require you to get his patterns down pretty well if you're low on max energy/supers and have experimented a bit with fighting him in odd manners to get odd dodging techniques down. Spore Spawn, Botwoon and Draygon are also somewhat like this.
Yeah, well unfortunately i don't have an alternate save state so i'm either stuck until i kill him or until i start a new game.

And yeah, i feel i have his attacks down pretty well for the most part, but with only 5 e-tanks and only the charge/icebeam he takes a huge amount of hits to kill.

I also use normal missles to cancel his wave attack, and try to get behind him when i use supers so he doesn't grab them.
the metroid is a lie !
BRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that you know where im going with this.
yes the temple pallette looks very good but,
it would look even better if the brightness was turned down a tad (it really hurt my eyes Evil or Very Mad).
although it is kinda old now anyways so re releasing the thing just caus of a pallet change might
seem somewhat stupid.

Oddly enough my eyes never really had a problem with the brightness, but I guess different people's eyes have different levels of tolerance (for example, you might not like the red crateria palette either, but it looks fine to me). Or maybe your monitor's brightness is up higher than mine and thus it enhances the already existing brightness to difficult-to-take levels? Now there are some hacks out there that have almost burned my corneas out but they were mostly minihacks but somehow I was able to adjust anyway.
the metroid is a lie !
well i guess that would always work (hits self on head). anyway,
cheers for the great hack btw any new ones in the works ???
Yes, I'm working on a much larger one but it's nowhere near done and will probably take quite awhile to finish (I'm still skeletoning out the rooms so that's basically the earliest stage)

How i can get the Wave Beam?, can somebody gimme a hand?
Have you been to the eastern part of the Underworld? It's hiding around there from the connection to a PB door in eastern Dark Gardens. First you might want the Gravity suit and hi jump boots if you don't already have them.

I have the gravity suit, but not the Hi-jump, i used bomb-flying, here's some screen of my current location in Underworld.
