What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I was looking through the images at nintendo.com's Metroid Prime section, and came across a conceptual drawing not shown in any of the Metroid Prime galleries that looks something like a Kihunter from Super Metroid.
Just thought worth mentioning, since it's a fairly nifty design, if you ask me. It seems more "Space Piratey." (with the jet pack and all) I suppose it's because, at least according to the Super Metroid manual, Kihunters were another type of Space Pirate.
EDIT: Oh, and there's another conceptual drawing that looks like a Nova from Norfair, leaning more towards the original Metroid design (being covered by fur).
Makes me wonder why these two enemies weren't included. I can see why Nova's probably weren't (so not to have too many enemies from Zebes on TIV), but I can't think of why Kihunters didn't make it. If you ask me, Kihunters could easily replace the flying pirates--replacing them would add a bit more diversity.
