Is it possible to change what music file the game should attempt to play during certain occasions without editing the music itself? (For example, changing the Chozo Ghost music to match the Incinerator Drone music without editing gen_ShortBattle2 so Metroids and Pirate Elites still use it.)
Yes, that just requires changing the filepath on whatever StreamedAudio object is controlling music playback.

This is a simple little thing I did, but I find it really really cool. I don't know. Maybe I'm lame.
Quick update just to show I'm still working on things

I'm finally adding some functionality to allow you to interact with/edit the scene. Recent additions are the ability to select objects by clicking on them in the viewport and the ability to view object properties. I'm focused on trying to get everything working nicely for MP1 right now, and soon I'll be adding SCLY support for MP2/MP3/DKCR as well. Still lots to do, but progress is happening!

I've started a thread for hacking discussion and general tools development on Metroid Construction here: http://forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php/topic,3568.0.html

I'm still going to post here on m2k2 as well, but it makes sense to broaden the discussion there since that forum is specifically for Metroid hacking. We could also make multiple threads for different things (general research, editor development, etc) which might be less cramped than keeping everything to one thread here. Will be posting in both places for the time being but I thought I'd link in case anyone is interested in switching over.
56 pages is getting a bit big xD
DO NOT JUMP ON LUMINOTH HEAD

Hello, I have a problem with MpxViewer . He said that the aplication is not correct.
Sorry i'm french D:

Uhh.. I don't think the developer of MpxViewer posts here. You'd have to track down interdpth and ask him.
Thank you , interdpth is on this Forum ? It is an antidote to that encoded MetPrimeTools -master , I still have a problem. Lol, I give you the picture. ( Fall , I use a translator it's a shame x))

interdpth is registered here but I don't think he's posted in years. Antidote is still here though, he might be able to help you with that.
Awesome then , from 3:00 I want a solution. I'm just starting the programing . It's not easy when you start , but the C ++ language is not difficult when there are work often .

Antidote made the Athena library to help make his programming easier.  You need to also download this code too:
https://github.com/libAthena/Athena

Try to compile MpxViewer from scratch:
http://code.google.com/p/mpxviewer/source/browse/trunk    (r25, Feb 28, 2011)
You can change the revision number too.
http://code.google.com/p/mpxviewer/source/browse/trunk?r=6 (r6, Jan 8, 2010)
https://github.com/PwnzLPs/mpxviewer (copy of 2011 code, he wants to change dependancies)

If you can make it compile, share the binary!
The problem you're having is the fact that you didn't initialize the submodules, once you do that it should compile without issue.
And how do you do that? Sorry as I said above, I just started programming, I just buy visual studio ultimate 2010.
For Athena I already all the files.
I took MpxViewer_Master I'll see if I get to the compiled.
SkippyJr: How do I share the binary ?
Thank you for your help , I still have six weeks remaining programming.
Anyone know why the start debugging button is grayed out visual studio?
With Code:Block no worries but I blocked, if anyone can help me.
You're going to have a hard time building/running Athena and RetroView on Windows XP.

You should install Windows 7+ to get all the required system libraries (MSVC2013; C++11)
I have the same thing on Windows 7 lol
Are you using a git client on Windows 7? (GitHub for Windows, MSYS CLI, TortoiseGit)
This is the software to download ?
I find a link to c ++ 11https://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio/suggestions/2287078-allow-vs11-c-applications-to-run-on-xp-sp3-orig
You'll actually need Qt Creator and GitHub for Windows.. Easiest way to build Athena+RetroView

https://windows.github.com
https://www.qt.io/download/
Full Qt ?
Open Source?
I suggest only using Windows 7.. many of our library calls are designed to work with newer standards (which are finnicky on an obsolete OS like Windows XP)
Um, ok windows 7 then it's annoying because I have everything on my xp
