Given that you have to finish Draygon while being in CF to trigger the blue suit

Or, much easier and probably better on TAS as well, have Draygon grab you while CFing.  And by blue suit I assume you meant free shinespark.

Huh? I thought you needed to kill Draygon in the process of CFing, not just have yourself grabbed...

Precisely so.
Probably nothing new but I just noticed it's possible to forever stuck at Kraid. Simply skip the Charge Beam and enter his room with 0 Super Missiles and 0-1 Missiles (or miss the other Missile-shots by not hitting his mouth while he is in the first form). If this happened you will be trapped in his room forever because you won't be able to damage Kraid at all since the refills aren't available in his first form. Same goes to Ridley if fighting him without Charge which is probably well known.

And moozooh,
if Draygon grabs you while CFing you will also be able to do a shinespark after that even if you won't have blue suit. The CF-animation gets cancelled by his grab without being fully complete and this triggers this glitch to work. I will use this strategy in the RBO and simply kill Draygon with this CF gained shinespark (by going diagonally to the top right platform of his room) to get the next blue suit for the exit AND land on the top-right platform again. This way you can save much time as you can fight Draygon at the bottom of the room as ususal.
hey guys i have encuntered some weird stuff when i do the reset glitch, i cant go to kraid, each time i try, the game freezes, and now i saved but when i try to load the save it just doesnt work pwuh

have any of you encuentered that?
No, I haven't (but I just got the game yesterday).  Sounds like a problem with the game pack.  Try cleaning it or something.  If that doesn't work, then I can't help you.

oh no, its an emulator, so probably the rom is bad, and i encuentered the same thing while fighting Dragoon (i know bad spelling, i dont remmeber his name) with plasma
Are you by any chance using Snes9x? If so, it doesn't emulate all the glitches correctly (stupid, I know). For instance, there's no way to pass the blue suit maze in Metroid Limit because of that.
yup im using the Snes9x, oh well it was good while it lasted
Hi i'm new here and  I know a little about glitching on super metroid
That's nice.  This topic is for posting new glitches you discover and discussing glitches people have posted.
extra_smug Here is a glitch i had come across. first get samus energy low (about two  tanks) then do the reset glitch but you must save it  with the ISP beam. make sure you don't save in the space ship or you will have to get her energy low again. when you save it and arrive on the space conlony go through the first door you come across then on your way to the next door you wil see a block shape wall over top the door do the isp glitch by shooting it only once when you see the color of the beam on the wall change green or etc. then fire it on the wall again then you will fall down head right. you will go back through the  first door you entered and the background will be blue blocks then go where the dead scientist are at and use shinespark to get your energy low to avoid screwing up this glitch then go through the door where ridley is and when he leave you won't see and words and the timer will come up hurry and escape then when you do it right you will see here on zebes while the planet is erupting with no timer no sound.
I come across this glitch on an emulator for my DC

Paragraphs are your friend.  As are capital letters (unless you're nate).

Also, you should test all glitches on an SNES, because things work differently on EMU.
there may be people interested in emulator malfunctions though.

Yes, but those aren't even consistent across different versions of the same emulator.
I don't have a snes or supermetroid for snes but I played supermetroid on my brother snes awhile ago but he moved and he don't have any of his snes games or his console anymore.  but if anyone like to try the glitches i found on their snes then that would be great.

Hey, I just joined the Forum, and I found a really neat (but basically pointless and might destroy the game) glitch. Just to tell you, this is on an emulator (ZSNES), so it might not work on an SNES. But here it is anyway!

Press start and equip the charge, ice, and spazer beams (NO WAVE BEAM). go to speed booster and hit right and A at the same time to activate both the spazer and plasma beams (just like the Murder beam). once you do this, fire your beam once. (If you charge, I think the game usually crashes.)

Being in certain rooms affects what this glitch actually does. The one that I usually get is everything slows down A LOT, and you fall through the floor and you see tons of crazy crap along the way. Sometimes you re-appear at the top of the screen and it repeats, or you can teleport into different rooms (at which point, the game usually freezes).
But the best thing that I found is this: If you do the glitch in the "room" where your ship is, everything slows down, and your ship turns this pink/tan/throw-up color. If you enter it, the ship flies away and it does the ending! There's also a lot of other stuff in that room, so explore!

I really hope that this isn't just my emulator and you guys get to see what I mean. When I found this out, I almost crapped my pants! You know what, you can just...ignore that last sentence.
Sounds like one of the possible effects from using space/time beam. Yeah, it surely breaks the game really bad.
i tried to get behind motherbrain by glitching one time and the game froze and it saved all on its own.i reset the game to check it then i seen all my saved data on supermetroid was erased.i had to do them all over again.if you encounter a gamefreeze immediately reset your game if your glitching mb on an emulator to prevent the risk.

The game... saved while frozen?  Why do I find this highly unbelievable?

And to Odima16, yeah, that's a fairly well-known result of using the Space/Time beam in the landing site on ZSNES.
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
I've gotten behind Mother Brain a large number of times, even while she's still in her jar.
I've yet to do anything productive back there. Aside from laughing at Mother Brain.
what i mean is when motherbrain has her full body and block you from the left side where you escape.i was behind motherbrain before she was at its trueform. i jump and shooting her but she backed up on me i got knockback then it started glitching up then it froze. well i guess the only way for a glitch to be used at its fullest is to be at a good position.
I remember using the Space/Time Beam and attacking Mother Brain from behind. It was great.
well i did this i fought motherbrain(before she seal the walls) then i used the isp once on the rightside on where you will be sealed off from escaping to see the color of the beam change. i then turn off isp put  charge/ice on then got back on the block then i lightly jumped and fired a supermissle at motherbrain then i got knocked back once. it went through the glass and it hit mb.
i fired at her for about 12-16 times then i leaped and used a bomb it slowed up then it started to close the walls. by then i used ice shield to turn it off .i paused to change weapons went back in fighting motherbrain then i saw a big opening.
when samus got hyper i went through the opening and i was out. went back in mb still there few bars blocking with mb without a glass then i did it again(only supermissles). fought mb and when i fired hyper it took less then 10 seconds to make motherbrain mad to use her mind beam. i need to know if anyone ever encountering this or something similar to it.

Aww, so you're saying it's just my emulator? Oh well.

Also, I keep hearing about the "space/time" beam and ISP beam. What does that really mean? Does it have to do with the equipping of both plasma and spazer beams? Or are they in those groups of  beams that don't really have to do with beams, but they call them beams just to make it sound cooler?
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
isp beam and space/time beam are ice, spazer and plasma equipped

It's called space/time beam, 'cause it starts you at the beggining of the game, with your time reset. But you get to keep all your equiptment (exept missiles), so it's not called the restart beam
