Stickied threads sit at the top of the first page of each subforum even when no new posts are made in them and are generally created as such because they'll remain useful to many users for a quite a while.
Is it just me, or has the "Report to Moderator" button been removed? I was trying to report a spam bump I saw in the "I found a way to record videos! No Emulator!" topic, but then noticed that the button was gone.
I assume you checked to make sure it's not there in any posts, correct? Did you try refreshing? It should still be there, bottom right of the post, above the signature line.
Think of it like this, the report post function works on the assumption that the majority of the members have a good enough understanding of the rules to know whether or not a post is worth the immediate attention of the moderators (or at least that the person reporting could make the comment entertaining enough to be worth the time). The thing is, the mods are generally active enough to find the posts they need to find before someone clicks the report link and most posts that get reported probably aren't bad enough to warrant the report, so the mods get an inbox full of things that don't matter.
No offense, guys, but even if the forum management is THAT active, why remove the one button that could make a response time even quicker? It makes no sense to me at all. Sure, a lot of dipshits might be clicking that button in, say, J-SNAKE's threads, but does that necessarily warrant its removal in the face of spam (and more importantly pornographic) topics/posts that need immediate attention? True, we might not have stuff like that happen around here in every while, but come on...
Well, if it doesn't get replaced, I guess spread PMs would work too. Hopefully I shouldn't have to do that in the future life of the forum regardless...
