Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I think BioSpark probably mentioned it because BioSpark = Fusion.

I opened it in a Hex Editor once, and the code looked like this:

It's actually last in the timeline, but referred to as Metroid 4 because of the release date. The Prime series kind of counts as a spin-off series by itself, and Metroid Zero Mission is counted as the first game even if it is a retelling.

The thing is that people that played Fusion AFTER having played Super Metroid or Metroid Prime don't appreciate it as much as those that played it before the others. They expect it to be like the others, but it lacks in the aspects they're looking in so it seems like a poorer game than it actually is.

Fusion had the misfortune of being 2D and coming next after Super Metroid. I mean, it's not a bad game by any means. I think Fusion is a great game. But it is not and could never be Super Metroid. Nothing could, really.

I have played all the Metroid games except for Metroid II. I have not been able to pick that one up yet, unfortunately.
