Here is yet another plothole: In RoS you find no X parasites or X parasite hosts, although in Fusion the X parasites seem to be native to the SR388 (Judging by the creatures that are hosts and the fact the Arachnus is an X host.) now how could that be so?

The Metroids eatified them all (except, obviously, one or two really well hidden ones). Then the Metroids went awaaaaaay, and the X began to destructionate everything else that was alive.

yeah, i always had the impression that the metroids were designed to kill the x so effectively that visitors to sr-388 would not be able to become infected.

The Chozos didn't create the Metroids to protect otherworldly visitors fro the X, they created them to protect the other species of SR388 from the X.  Of course, they're all dead now so it's kind of a moot point.  Funny how that works, isn't it?

I thought it was more of the Chozo made the Metroids to keep the Chozo safe, and the HELL with anything else if the Metroids don't like it.

Wait, then you mean that it wasn't that the Metroids created the Federation to destroy Samus in order to allow the Chozo to eat the X with a copious amount of Ketchup?

yeah, 'so that' was the wrong word choice, or not what i meant exactly. imo it was more like the metroids were to prevent the x from escaping from sr-388 and destroying all life in the universe, not to protect the one person who would be infected in [the start of] that process. the chozo were thinking on a large scale, thus the massive sentient machine spawning hella metroids.

In the end we see how the federation and Samus totally destroyed 2 species that were living in perfect harmony just because a bunch of Space pirates wanted to suck up all the metroids.

The next metroid should result in the total destruction of the space pirates, HQ and all.  And Samus could choose to either enlist the abilities of the X or metroids(2 modes of game play).  Each would allow her to obtain different powers and cover different sections of the space pirate base.

i think the chances of that are actually quite good. think about how they (nintendo) could expand the first hunt concept for the ds - your friends could play your trusty metroids as you work with them as a team to suck the life out of those danged pie rates! samus (or, at least, her suit) is a metroid now, anyway ...

Actually, Samus's suit is X, while Samus herself remains a metroid. she's invincible now. I also hear she has some distant relation to Kraid  Shocked
