Hmm. So if you fire the space/time beam 2 minutes before you beat the game, it'll say that you beat the game in 2 minutes?

Also, I found another completely useless glitch that is probably there just because of my emulator! I call it the screw suit. Well, it's not a suit, it just looks like you have another suit for about one frame. Here's how you see this stupid thing:
First, get the blue suit (you know, that fake suit that you get when you shinespark into Draygon) and screw attack. If you spin jump in certain ways, Samus' sprite gets all freaky for about one frame. I've used that opportunity to take a snapshot of it, and I've attached the pictures into the post (at least, I'm gonna TRY to attach the pics  grin new ).

Sorry, timer doesn't reset.

It seems you've failed. :) Try again.

Oh, I think I found the problem. I think it wouldn't work because I was trying to send a bitmap image and it doesn't accept those! This time, I've sent them as JPEGs. Hopefully, this time it'll work. Also, I've attached a .zmv of me doing that glitch I found. (Remember, it slows down ALOT! grin new )

Uh... The color scheme of her "screw suit" remsembles something between Fusion's Veria suit and a piece of thrown up goo. :|
The name goes pretty well, though.
The pitch black suit is something I've noticed in normal gameplay on SNES.  It happens briefly when you screw attack while speedboosting.
"C'mon, Luigi!"
Oh yeah, I guess it does look like the fusion varia suit! I never thought of it that way, but yeah, it has that "someone threw up and decided to call it a color" color.
...I have NO clue why the developers chose that awful color for the fusion varia suit, though.  grin new

Also, I think you have to turn around right before you hit the ground in order to get the screw suit to work.

...Hey! I just got a brainstorm: what if you could kill a boss with a screw attack spin, and somehow pin-point it to kill the boss RIGHT when it did that glitch (kind of like the blue suit glitch)? Then your suit might look like crap FOREVER! It's probably impossible, and if it was, it would be totally pointless and it sure wouldn't be easy!  grin new

Sorry, wouldn't work.  First of all, the only reason blue suit works is because Samus is reset to standing position on killing Draygon, but the game forgets to reset her speed.  Secondly, no bosses are veulnerable to SA in the first place.
"C'mon, Luigi!"
Well, I said it was "probably impossible." And usually the ideas that I get are 1) ideas that someone has already figured out or 2) something that just doesn't work. So I guess I made a #2!

Shocked ...Not THAT #2!

Happens to me all the time, too, except for me there's also
3)I come up with an idea, but don't tell anyone about it, and a while later, someone else realizes the same thing and gets all the credit.
very nice odima16 thats a strange but cool suit glitch you've posted.never even seen nothing like that before.
Quote from Cloud07:

So you've seen something similar before (double negatives are bad)?
i seriously didn't mean it like that. i was amazed when i seen the samus suit being in different colors. i never performed or did something like that its new to me.
Yeah, I figured that.  I was just pointing out that you should always check to make sure that what you say is what you mean to say.
hey bluegrass i know that zsnes is a emulator for computer. what i need to know if the glitches i posted earlier will work on it because my emulator is based on sne9x.
i apologize if you think that i said it in a bad way.
I have no idea, especialy since I also use snes9x as my SNES EMU.
if you have sne9x then maybe the glitches i perform you could also do as well.my dc emu is based off of snes9x and perhaps when i have time i'll make a video of them.
"C'mon, Luigi!"
Hey, if you liked that glitch, I bet you'll enjoy this one. I was just fooling around with the mother brain fight, and I found tons of interesting stuff! (This is a long post, so bear with me.  grin new )

Fight mother brain with the blue suit on. When she's about to use her super-rainbow-eye-beam thing (I forget the name), go to the right wall, duck, and shoot off diagonally towards her. You have to get this timing pretty well; in order for this glitch to work, you have to time it so she hits you with the eye beam once those "other samuses" stop moving around you once you hit the wall. (Sometimes, when it's done wrong, there are after-images of Samus that stay there until you leave the room!) If done correctly, you will bounce off the wall when she's done trying to kill you, and you won't be in that "hurt" position.

You are now free to move around, and she won't start the second eye beam until she's gotten you under 100 energy. Once she starts the second rainbow attack  grin new , move as close as you can to her foot without touching it. By doing this, you are close enough that she will "kick" you once she start freaking out that there's a metroid on her head. (If you are running when the metroid comes on-screen, you will slide in the hurt position as long as you are holding down left or right. Or, if you jump at JUST the right time, you can be in the hurt position in the air. One time, it did this, but also the only part of Samus that I could see was her arm and head, and she was flashing like the hyper beam! WTF?) If you don't get close enough, you will go back into the hurt position once the "Super Metroid" (no pun intended) latches on to Mother brain's face.

Once mother brain is old and grey and stuff, do the same thing again before the metroid starts to come down and heal you. Mother brain will, once again, kick you out of the hurt position, and you can move around even with the metroid on you. However, once the metroid is done healing you, It will not latch onto you anymore. Instead, it will teleport to where you are when it gets hit (until it runs out of energy, at least). Don't get it into a spot where Mother brain can't reach it; otherwise you'll have to reset. (At that time, I've tried to kill mother brain with the murder beam and got her all red, but she didn't die.)

Once the metroid dies, it will give you the Hyper beam as normal. (You can still move around while flashing, so you can have multi-colored screw attacks and beams! Horray!) Once you get the hyper beam, Samus' sprite will look like the weirdest thing that I have ever seen in metroid for about 1/2 of a second. (Too bad it doesn't stay that way!) I call it the "WTF suit!" The suit has different appearances depending on what your position is. I've attached all of the possibilties that I've found, including some other things.

...Kind of a long explaination for a weird and pointless glitch, huh?  grin new Also, I don't mean to attach so many pics, but I find this pretty neat!

Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
That doesn't come close to comparing with this kodak moment of a family hug, complete with radioactive goodness:

... yeah, I had too much free time yesterday so I ended up playing around with Mother Brain glitches, by sheer coincidence.

All these are just simple extensions of the stand-up glitch (though done via Blue Suit instead of Varia Suit), which is pretty old and well-known.
And yeah, I used codes, hence the low health and no equipment. But getting that picture (minus the status bar) is entirely possible without any cheating too.

Well, yeah, I understand that, but why would it change Samus' sprite so much? For example: um, Samus is power bombs now?

Samus's pose is 0A1C, movement type is 0A1F, and animation frame is 0A96.
What Mother Brain does is directly alter 0A1C and 0A96, to start the standing animation of course.
However, 0A1F is never touched. Obviously, this is why Samus continues to move. Also, as 0A1F clearly determines the bottom half of Samus's tiles stored in 0ACA, and the spin jump animation does not have leg tiles, you have a legless Samus.
And of course, when Mother Brain sets 0A96 to an invalid number for that specific 0A1C, LDA $929263, X gets nonsense results for 0AC8.

how is it possible for samus to have all these graphic changes in her suit. also i noticed that mb colors looks just like samus when mb charges and uses mind beam and samus fire hyperbeam looks the same.

With the power of Movie Magic, anything is possible.
i performed a glitch that can escape any boss.
go to the door on the left side where you headed to you ship(next to the door where the lonely missle is at). use the isp to see a color change of the beam on the wall. do not kill the overgrown bugs
(there are two of them). have the ice on to take the second beam off later on.
but first you run to the right to gather you speed. have the supermissle equipped on first then when she break then quickly fire the missle then you did it. the game will slow as said above then you will pass through walls.
take the glitch off then head on up in the middle where you got hit go right(it would take a few times) then you will go through the door in the left make sure you head right or you will be locked out.
then it will bring you to the past and you can open the doors and fight any boss numerous times.
