Wow this derailed. Anyways, black haired Samus looks interesting and now that I see it she could easily have been a black haired girl and I don't think I would have thought twice about it. Truth be told now that I'm thinking about it, I think it might even fit her a little more. Can't explain why, just some feeling I get.
Tbob: Prime 1's model was okay, I'll give you that, I just wish they'd made her not look like she was 30-40 years old. She looked quite old on it. Still better than 2's model. that thing is just hideous.
I'd like her to have pink hair, with a huge, green stripe, and orange dots on the sides. You see, she's in a suit, so I won't see it either way. Oh, the cutscenes... Yeah, she should be blonde, 'cause I like blondes.
Brave and the Bold fucking owns, it's certainly no B:TAS but it's easily the best animated anything on tv since Justice League Unlimited. The art on that show rules so unbelievably hard.
That's what she said.

sounds like you need to watch something else before talking about anime.
Is it too hard for all of you to understand?... I wasn't talking about anime in general, because I don't know too much about that, I was talking ABOUT GHIBLI.
Ps- I forgot to mention Satoshi Kon's movies: Perfect Blue and Paprika.
Perhaps this tangent should be split to its own topic in the boardwalk forum...
I'd like to add that anime is not a genre; it is a medium, and although there are prominent trends which people may like or dislike, the only characteristic ALL anime really share is that they are animated by the Japanese. So you should judge them like any other show -- on an individual basis.

Anime, non-anime, who cares (Well, apparently you sorry specimens do)? Samus' design has been changing since Super Metroid, and the only truly anime-ish design in the whole franchise was in Fusion.
My god, what's up with people in this forum? they can't pay attention?
Quote from noah-x:
I guess that you hate Anime then, because Ghibli's movies are great, and their character design is above American's character design in every level in my opinion.
The later generalization was a mistake I made, because I was talking about traditional (classic) animation.
Even then, I'm not a loser for saying something like that, even John Lasseter admires Ghibli and Miyazaki.
How does ranking Ghibli as the best animation studio in the world make him a loser? Although I myself prefer Production I.G. ...
Not a silly statement, but just silly. And noah-x a loser because he completely went off topic and decided to start a conversation concerning an Miyazaki's studio and how it surpasses every aspect of American animation (now I realize "Western" may be a bad way to call it) rather than talking about anything having to due with the GDC pictures or Samus' design. Liking Studio Ghibli is not the real problem.
