Yes, it is. While all of the other wireless routers made by D-link are compatible with Wi-Fi, the D-Link that I own isn't. I'll get the real code up when I'm at my spoiled friend's hose.
I'm gonna have to withdraw my name from the list. I'm not gonna be able to play as often as I'd like, and I don't want to take up dead space on anyone's friend rosters.
For some of the people on my friends list, I never see them online, and when I view their hunter license it says:
If you still see this screen after registering each other's friend codes and connecting to nintendo wfc, please check your friend codes for accuracy.
I know I have the friend codes right, so why is this happening? It's not uncommon either.
In order for that to go away, both players need to be online at the same time. You don't have to play a game with eachother, but you need to both be connected to WiFi Connection at the same time.

Actually, I think that's not true. I believe you can do the following: [list=1]
Person A and Person B add each other to their rosters.
Person A signs on at some point. He still can't see Person B's Hunter Card.
Person B signs on sometime later. He can see Person A's Hunter Card.
Person A signs on sometime later. He now can see Person B's Hunter Card.
Everybody is happy.[/list:o] I'm not positive, but I believe that works.
I'm just telling you what the manual and the WiFi connection website say. They both say both players must be connected to wifi connection at the same time. They dont have to play a game, they dont even have to be on the same mode but they both have to be online at the same time (for even a second)
