Try setting your router to use 802.11 -b- only.
Although the DS generally works with mixed mode for 802.11 -g- routers, the DS is a -b- device (11mbps). At least, that's the conclusion I came to when it wouldnt work with my G router in G-only moce, and when I changed it to B-only, it worked.
*note that this will make your wireless network slow down to 11Mbps instead of 54Mbps)
As for your FC it is tied to your game and wifi ID, the address of your router is irreelevant. So no worries there:)

yeah, that's right. The only other thing that can change your friend code is if you delete your Nintendo Wi-Fi information entirely from your DS in the wi-fi config. this will also erase all of your Wi-Fi game statistics etc.
