Thread title:
everybody knows it's true
Ultamite Annihilation
i like my food frozen the best because... i like how you could shoot at a wall, and it would bounce off it, then it hits a enemy nearby. but mainly because it can kill guardians very fast, which is a good thing
Anywhere, everywhere
Me likey crispy. 8-)  Especially with Spire in Multiplayer. 8-)  8-)  8-)
I'm still loving the good old Missile/Super Missile combo. Stick with what you can trust, I guess. Wink

At least the weapons in Hunters aren't just modified versions of the Ice/Wave/Plasma. Even though there are similar weapons to these, they each have their own unique effect to bring to the game.
:x How is power beam boring? it's the best weapond ever if you know how to rapid fire with out spaming the L button....and it's Volt Driver...not Energy coil.....jezz go back in the game and learn your beams!  :P

Yeah, I prefer the power beam because you can get quite a few hits in. Also, it doent have ammo.
Judicator all da way!! You can't beat a weapon that sounds cool, is purple AND bounces off walls!  Twisted Evil
Imperialist.  Headshots ftw!
too bad is i jump around like a monkey you'll never hit me! :P

its boring because it doesnt have any side effects. :P

I got the beams out of normal order due to my mass stupidity, so i dont have all the beams in their exact places. :P

so...it doesn't have to have side effects to be interesting.

well,

1. its in ALL the metroid games
2. there are a plethora of other beams to choose from
3. Its great to use and is really useful, but its just not that exciting.

I'd edit it if i could, but i cant.

Ready and willing.
Volt Driver is like Power Beam+, with a super charge when you have time for it and little sprinkles when you're just trying to hit a moving target. Imperialist is cool too, of course, if overused. The Omega Cannon in multiplayer always ends in a suicide for me... :(
lvl 28 Magic Leper
Volt driver all the way, it's rapid fire and it's charge homes in.  And if your Kanden you give your opponent a seizure.
I like most weapons and can't really decide which I like best. Everytime I think I've found a favorite weapon, I find another one that I like just as much. So instead of naming one weapon, I'll just list why I like each weapon, in no particular order:

Imperialist-Sniping is fun, and it works really well in this game.
Judicator-Reminds me of the Flak Cannon from UT, which is my favorite UT weapon, and freezing enemies is good too if you're Noxus.
Volt Driver-Like someone above said, a power beam on steroids. I like to rapidly fire the uncharged shots at the head, it seems to kill pretty fast. I used the charged shot against alt forms and if I'm using Kanden
Shock Coil-Just an easy weapon to use, and does a lot of damage if you hold it on your opponent. Healing when you're Sylux is great too. It also reminds me of the Link Gun from UT.
Missile Launcher-Oviously a starting weapon, and a good all-purpose weapon as well. I use this alot against alt forms and as a medium range weapon. It has a good balance between power and rate of fire, I almost never charge it though.
Battlehammer-I usually only use this when I'm Weavel, but I'll also use it again alt forms. Its also the only weapon I ever use again the tower boss whats-his-name, as long as I have enough ammo.
Magmaul-I only really use this when I'm Spire, setting your opponents on fire is great, then quickly switch to another weapon to deal more damage while he burns. With other characters it just seems like a harder to aim missile launcher, so I don't use it much.

The only weapon not here of course, is the power beam, I only use that when I'm out of ammo for everything, and I use it like a Volt Driver thats not on steroids  :P

The Omega Cannon is in the singleplayer!? I haven't seen it...How do you get it?

(No, really, I beat the game without it, did I miss something? Shocked )

Well, I don't want to spoil it, but you get the Omega Cannon during
Gorea part 2.

To get to the second Gorea fight (and the good ending), you need to do something with the 6 coloured 'triangles' in the Gorea battle room.  You have to hit each triangle with the matching weapon in a specific order.  The order is: Yellow (Volt Driver), Green (Battlehammer), Orange (Magmaul), Blue (Shock Coil), Purple (Judicator), Red (Imperialist).  Then, finish the Gorea 1 battle normally.  You'll get a new cutscene and you'll be transported to a new battle field.  Drop to the bottom and collect the new weapon.  Wreak havoc to your enemy and enjoy the good ending.  The suitless Samus model is simply amazing.

So how about telling me how you get it in multiplayer?

The omega cannon in multiplayer is at the top of Oubliette. In single player you get it
at the beginning of the Gorea 2 battle.
If you wanna find out how to get that go to the help thread or sumtin.

Edit: guess I'm a bit late... :P

Oh, I kind of suspected that, but it just seemed strange that Nintendo would put the best weapon in the game (at least I assume its the best) exclusively for a boss fight that most players will probably never find (I doubt the average player will figure out the prophecies thing, I wouldn't have had I not read it before). I haven't fought Gorea 2 yet, I was going to do that next, I had beaten the game the "ordinary" way.
lvl 28 Magic Leper
Actually I found it quite obvious, I just hadn't scanned two prophecies so I couldn't arrange them in order the first time through. It's not like Nintendo was hiding anything... I mean the colours were in big bolded letters in all the prophecies.

Yeah, but I never would have put 2 and 2 together. Although I did once accidentally hit the yellow button once when fighting Gorea 1 and saw it spin. That might have clued me in, but I doubt it.

Regardless, I did go ahead and beat Gorea 2 today, the omega cannon was quite the ownage, but I can't help but wonder if this game is too easy? I mean, I actually gained health in the Gorea 2 fight, and Gorea 1 is pathetic once you realise that he won't attack you in his seal sphere phase if you stand outside the yellow ring, and its easy to dodge his attacks during his normal phase. But I think I'm getting off topic here, I still need to try the omega cannon in mutliplayer (well, with the bots, I need to buy the USB adapter before I can get online).
