I need to change my hud colors. I usually keep it green for that authentic Fallout flavor, but the yellow persuasion attempts are too similar to the default green for my colorblind eyes. Blue seems like a good choice.

white is honestly awesome, so easy on the eyes, and after a while it looks like the game is just naturally that way. i wanted something authentic feeling too and white works for that

i tried light purple but it wasn't as nice as it sounds

Yeah, I was considering white too. It's got to be something light in tone in any case, I don't think a dark color would work.

haha nice

is it just me or does leveling go really fast in this game, like once i hit 10 or so it feels like it's been increasing at a constant pace

It slows down slightly as you get higher, but yes, it's at a MUCH faster pace than the old games. Makes sense with how leveling works now. I'd say a level in Fallout 3 was "worth" a lot more than one in 4 since you could take a perk plus distribute a bunch of points.

yeah, i remember new vegas taking not quite as long, and skyrim was even better, and f4 is the fastest yet

i'm around 33 and sometimes i'll gain almost an entire level just by crafting tons of random syringes and drugs and food while i'm back at sanc

i've played a ton. probably pushing 40 hours now. still haven't done any story quests past getting piper on my team though ... there's so many other quests i want to do just to clear them

seems like there's toooons of minutemen settlement quests, damn

A lot of the Minutemen quests are infinite radiant quests, like those bounties from Skyrim. They're kind of bugging me at this point.

I'm a little farther in the main quest, but I'm also focusing on side stuff. I've even put off faction missions to just do smaller quests and generally explore.

It seems like you're more likely to run into a small quest in any given location than in previous games. It's rare that I feel like I've wasted a trip somewhere.

yeah, and even when you don't find a quest there's usually a couple legendaries around any given landmark

really glad i bumped it up to hard, it's not something i usually do but it's not very hard at all

Yeah, it generally isn't, but I've had some intense firefights with a bajillion raiders or whatnot.

I actually killed a Deathclaw with a single critical shotgun blast to the chest. It felt really awesome at first, but then I was kind of let down, lol.

oh man how i love the critical system in this game ... i have the perk that lets you store one, and also the perk that doubles their damage
