Automatron is pretty cool so far. I haven't played around with robot creation too much, I'm wanting to gather up more parts before I really dig into it. But the quest line seems neat so far.

And I finished it. I think I'd be a little let down if I had bought it a la carte. The few missions that are there are very good, but there's only 4 or 5 of them and it goes by fast. And robot creation isn't quite complex enough to carry it much farther. But I had a good time while it lasted.

i heard you have to get the robotics perks in order to do the more advanced crafting, did you do that?

i'm gonna play it tonight

No, I don't have robotics unfortunately, but you can still do a fair bit without it. A pretty large array of powerful weapons are locked behind robotics though.

oh yeah i played this last week. it was better than i thought it would be. making robots was fun, and i liked both ada and epecially jezebel. the plot was kind of meh, but it doesn't really matter ... love how you can send custom robots to your settlements to act as guards. my fortress is bad ass now

for the first time in a while, i found myself running out of certain crafting materials. but only because i wanted to make one of every single part, so i could make any type of robot i want in the future lol

Yeah, those robots can really burn through your adhesive quick. I learned that the hard way.
red chamber dream
for me it's stuff like copper, but i've been making adhesive like crazy throughout the game and have hundreds of it lol

Wasteland Workshop is pretty lame. It's just some extra crafting stuff and none of it is terribly great imo. It's fun in theory to be able to trap deathclaws but the reality of it is you just build a cage and then wait a few days until one magically appears inside. And most of the cages require weird materials that you probably don't have on hand, like meats to use as bait I guess. Maybe it'll be more fun to play with when Far Harbor is out and I can get junk for it while doing more interesting things, but for right now it's not very entertaining.

so are there enough mods yet to make this game fun or should I wait another 6 months

I think it's fun without any mods, but you can make your Fat Man launch babies, so... you decide I guess.

i'm holding off on even trying wasteland workshop until far harbor comes out. i've explored absolutely everywhere and done everything in the game, so i want ww to be a distraction in between story missions where i can gather junk. until i've got a purpose in the game again, ww does nothing for me

Yeah, I wasn't planning on doing much with it, just checking out what's been added, but even for what it is it seems like a let down. I was picturing, like, luring the animals into cages from the wild yourself, instead of just building a yao guai cage and then, poof, yao guai here.

Put some hours into Far Harbor (or, as it should be know, Faah Haabaah) and it's pretty sweet. Reminds me a lot of Point Lookout. And there are legendaries EEEEEEEVERYWHERE. You can pretty much expect to find at least one in every location.

Unfortunately, on the PS4 the framerate is crap for some reason. Worse than the main game.
red chamber dream
darn. hopefully they update it, but they probably won't

looking forward to playing it regardless, seems like a great expansion

Yeah, it's not game breaking. Just noticeably sluggish, and I'm one of those people that can barely tell the difference between 30 and 60 most of the time. I think it's the fog, it seems to improve in non-foggy areas. But the thigh is fucking everywhere, it's kind of the point.

started f. harbor today, damn it's bigger than i was expecting. the one thing i don't get is why i'm level 98 and all the enemies are like, 3-30, but owell.

are there any new legendary items? the problem i've had for the last 50 or so hours of playing is that i already have all the items i want, and nothing that drops is ever any better

Yeah, there's actually a heap of new prefixes. From redit:

Armor
Auto Stim - Automatically use a Stimpack when hit while health is 25% or less, once every 60 seconds
Cloaking - Being hit in melee generates a stealth field once per 60 seconds
Cryogenic - 10% chance to freeze melee attackers, once every 20 seconds (Thanks u/Alexdl17)
Fortifying (Unyielding?) - +3 to all special stats when below 25% health (Thanks u/apallo1313)
Incendiary - 10% chance to set melee attackers on fire, once every 20 seconds (Thanks u/Zeta_Horizon)
Rad Powered - Grants additional Strength the higher your rads (is this only strength?)
Weapons
Blazing - 25% chance to deal 50 fire damage on a successful block (Melee only)
Charged - 10% chance to deal 100 eletrical damage on a successful block (Melee only)
Defiant - Double damage on last round of a magazine (Thanks u/Graysteve)
Deadeye - Time slows down for a moment when aiming (Thanks u/Graysteve)
Duelist - 25% Chance to disarm attackers on a successful block (Melee only)
Frigid - 20% Chance to freeze an enemy on a successful block (Melee only)
Hitman's - +10% damage while aiming
Resilient - +150% damage resistance while reloading
Resolute - Time Slows down for a moment when chambering the final round in the magazine
Steadfast - +50% damage resistance when aiming (Thanks u/dammaged1)

oh that's awesome. some of those look great. now i want to replace my armor pieces that increase special stats, since i'm at such a high level anyway

With fortifying and rad powered you could put yourself in kind of a "danger Mario" state, which is pretty cool.
red chamber dream
yeah rad powered looks awesome

far harbor is pretty neat, stomping through the fog with my boy longfellow in power armor

I'm mad at Longfellow. I've drank enough whiskey too kill an elephant and he still won't love me. :(

It didn't take as long as I thought it would to finish up Faah Haahbah, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the "keep everybody happy, more or less" ending, but to do it you have to some morally questionable things, which I think is great.

man i've been playing more this weekend and the dlc is way bigger than i was expecting, i'm loving the variety. i guess it helps that i've never played a bethesda dlc before, so i have nothing to compare it to.

i'm on the second round of quests at far harbor, and i've only just visited the other two factions, so i suppose i'm maybe halfway through? maybe a little less
