Isn't that basicly what I said?
If not, I meant that.

I found some saves on gamefaqs, but it doesnt seem to be the file format that no$gba uses. So, no progress yet.
Would someone please record some gameplay stuff with emulator?

(sorry bad english.. -.-')
Bangaa Bishop
I probably could, but I dont have a good control setup and the framerate is rather low, so it wouldnt exactly be pretty.
I'd assume that framerate can be boosted after recording, just speed up the vid.
Just got No$GBA 2.5
I had a recording of Metroid Prime Hunters on Adventure mode but Youtube is taking forever to have it uploaded.

Here's the vid.  Sorry, no sound it's because I don't have a microphone and Camstudio can't record things that are running on my computer with my current soundcard.

Hm, that's wierd, it pauses on 0:14...  That sucks.
lulz, it works then?
How well?

Ok, thanks fella ^.^

EDIT

"Removed by the user?" O.o
Sorry, I have a new one.  Ignore my previous video

so how'd you get past the intro video? I have that version (i'm pretty sure" and it freezes there for me.
No$gba 2.5 just came out not too long ago.  It's the only version thus far that I know of that is capable of playing MPH adventure mode.  So if you can't play it, then I guess you don't have v2.5.  Go on your version click on Help and then About.  It should tell you your version number.  You can probably find the new one on their site.  It doesn't say outright what version it is but if you read the updates, then you'll know.

I can indeed confirm that the single player is now fully functional. It's still rather slow on my machine (only the 3D is, really- when im on the map screen and some other screens it strangely gets up to full speed) but it definitely works without a hitch now. Itt'l take the fastest single core intel CPUs to run this game at full speed throughout, likely. If anyone around here has a top of the line machine, you should be able to get some quality video with this emulator.

[23:29] Kul'thran: Yah
[23:30] Sakura Isnarui: AMD Athlon 5200+ 2.6GHz. GeForce 7950 GT 512MB, 320GB harddrive (7200 RPM), Two Gigs of Kingston RAM
I asked her because she had been playing Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow on no$gba with little trouble.
[23:49] Sakura Isnarui: It's playable
[23:49] Sakura Isnarui: somewhat laggy and sound has static
[23:49] Sakura Isnarui: but you could play it
[23:50] Kul'thran: I see. So depending on Computer specs and the no$gba....
[23:50] Sakura Isnarui: More on no$gba
[23:50] Sakura Isnarui: the lag is probably caused by incomplete or unoptomized emulation, not my PC
There ya go. Just going to have to wait for some more updates. :P
Ridley!
It works for me now I found you had to set the save thing to flash something. It may be slow but it works good. It gets really slow during battles and when you're in big rooms. I love the Celestial Archives theme that plays after the long battle with those flying robots. I'm so glad I can somehow play this again.

Just in case anyone wants to put in another effort at adding site content for this, the NDS emulation has gotten a lot better/faster, and some people may be able to make videos from this now. Anyone want to give it a shot?

The only catch is the author is now asking for donaitons for the most current version. the version one before whatever is current will still be available for free so if you're patient once he updates it the old new version will be available. I dont really like forced donations though he is only asking for $2.50 (so much for "no$" :D

I just tried the latest free version and I'm getting full speed or near full speed even in 3D games. it's a vast improvement over earlier versions. I think anyone with a decent system should be able to pull this off now- Use fraps and make some vids!

Just some ideas real quick that may or may not be implementable.

Instead of using a GBA emulator, you could try the GBAPlayer for da 'Cube and stream video to the computer/other recording device the same way you do normally. This may already be used or have some sort of side effect, I don't know.

it depends on how good the emulation is. most of the vids in /1, /3 and /fusion are emulator. if the ds emulation is really accurate then go for it. way better than shaky cam over the air shit.

If this isn't already done, you can easily do Metroid, ZM, Super Metroid, and Fusion either through the GBAP or the Virtual Console for the Wii (again, I don't know of any changes that may be problemental). Or, it could just be the reason that savestates and cheats are a lot easier to use in an emulator =).

As for getting DS savefiles, you could get an on-DS emulator (such as the R4http://www.r4ds.com/r4.htm), put the MPH ROM on the cart, make a savefile, and use the miniSD/USB cord to put it on the computer.

Um, what are you talking about? the game boy player cant play DS games...
As I just explained, we dont need to go to all that trouble when there's a working emulator that (now) runs the game just fine (if you have a fair system).
What screen recording program would you suggest?  I have problems with Cam Studio (sound doesn't sync) and the other one that I can't remember the name slows my computer down a lot and makes the emulator go by slower as well.
Bangaa Bishop
I used this to make videos in PC games, it should work just as well with this if your system can handle it.

http://www.growlersoftware.com/  <- it's shareware with less features if you don't register, but it never stops working and the free functionality is all you should need. it also includes basic editing functions.

Early versions of the emulator were really really slow, I was getting 10FPS or worse in hunters; Now it's running full speed most of the time, though there is some slowdown here and there.
My specs- dualcore AMD Athlon64 X2 2800+  2GB RAM  dual Radeon X1900 GT in crossfire mode

If you have a system better than this, you should have no problem recording video while you play. Growler Guncam worked pretty well for me recording FFXI videos, hopefully it will work for you.

We know most of the tricks for this game. If you want it to have a place on the site though, we're going to need trick videos. We do have one speedrun, so that's a start. :)

Regards to this game on the emulator, I got a pretty workable control scheme set up. It's a little tricky playing with the mouse and keyboard- due to the small size of the screen, small mouse movements can move your view a lot (so set the sensitivity really low) but once you get used to it, the game is quite playable.

If you read what I said, I wrote that you could use the GameBoy Player for Fusion, ZM, the original, and the VC for Super.

However, I said you could use an on-DS emulator for savefiles, as that was another issue.

I never said anything about putting Hunters on the GBP or any easy way to record the DS.
Bangaa Bishop
That's interesting, but this topic is about DS emulation.  Wouldnt it be better to post that on the fusion or ZM forum?
