Download here: http://nocash.emubase.de/no$gba-w.zip  - No$gba emulator (emulates the GBA, Nintendo DS, and by extension original game boy)

If you have a system like mine or better, you should have no problem running MPH on this and also video capture software:

AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2 gHz dual core CPU (I didn't check if the emulator is multithreaded (probably not) but a dual core will certainly help for running the emulator and video capture software at the same time)
2GB RAM
dual ATI Radeon X1900 GT in Crossfire mode

Be sure to select a setting for the flash memory so that the game will be able to save data.

It's not 100% perfect, but the DS emulation is getting very good now, and MPH is fully playable.

Even if such a thing did exist, this site would not use emulated videos. That'd sort of defeat its purpose.

Such a thing does exist :)

Found it: http://nocash.emubase.de/gba.htm
It works like a charm; you need a top of the line CPU to get anywhere close to normal framerates though.
my dual core AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2gHz is only managing 50-60% speeds in most games.
Dont think this will help too much with a monster machine required to make this perform.

Not sure how the purpose would be defeated, unless you were showing some kind of trick that would only be possible through emulation. (And I actually thought the fusion videos were from an emulator)

edit again:

Seeing as how the site's entire purpose is to document what can actually be done on the consoles/handhelds themselves, putting up emulated videos would be lying to the viewer, even if the tricks can actually be done.
it depends on how good the emulation is. most of the vids in /1, /3 and /fusion are emulator. if the ds emulation is really accurate then go for it. way better than shaky cam over the air shit.

It has issues with some games, but most work; It may get better but this will bring your CPU to it's knees. I was able to get better performance by setting the process priority to high but you're going to need a top of the line CPU i.e. 3ghz in it's current state.

At best, I was able to achieve ~70% of normal speed. If you have a better system than I do, feel free to give this a spin and see what kind of performance you get.
First time you run the program you need to go into the emulator options and set the NDS backup media or most games wont work. I have it set to Flash 512KB and things are working fine.
I agree with nate, IF the emulator works accuratley, then I would much rather see emulated videos than Over the shoulder crappy camera vid quality with jumping out of focus.  Ark, I think you need to realize even this fact.  Emulated vids are the only way to view a hunters speedrun and or tricks.

I wouldnt necisairly say only, but more practical. :)

I think this should be emphasized a little bit more.

Maybe a computer exists that can run MPH at full speed, but I doubt anybody here can. Maybe we can get a way to bring the recordings to normal speed (the audio plays for a blip and stops until the next frame), but you'll still really need a ton of patience to work with the program as it eats your CPU.

I couldn't even get past MPH's menus. >_>

Interestingly, though, between menu screens, the audio ran at full speed before the graphics of the next one appeared. Maybe it's software-rendering or some graphics problem that's slowing it down?

Edit: I forgot to mention that not everything shows up the way it should. The very first Nintendo logo, for example, has a white rectangle behind it. I don't think emulation is the best option for recording videos. (I even got a BSOD from the intro of one game)

I think it's just a lack of processing or graphics work being done at the time allowing it to speed up.

I'm running it at around 90% under Fusion. Just wish there were better controls.

You can customize the controls once you have a ROM loaded. Settings menu

Btw touchscreen operation is simply click with the mouse anywhere. Seems to be pixel accurate :)

One bonus of this is you get a full view of both screens and no one's hand or stylus blocking the bottom screen :)

Yes, I know-- it's just that keyboard controls always suck.
I have No$GBA ds emulator and so far it works pretty well with my laptop.  Its frame rate on a bot battle is about 80% so that's not too bad.  The screen is a bit dark though, and Adventure mode doesnt work either.

Does Adventure Mode work for Fusion?

GBA emulation should be ideal, it was a GBA emulator long before it had DS emulation. Just be sure to use normal GBA mode and not DS in GBA mode mode. :D

The screen is too light on my monitor :D maybe you need to ajust your desktop gamma :D

Yea so far single player doesnt work for me, I just get a black screen with a bit of music playing very slowly; it may be the intro sequence working but not displaying properly- try pressing buttons and clicking the touch screen in random places; Multiplayer works perfectly, strangely enough. Not ideal but it may still be useful for making vids of certain tricks.

btw if u can get close to normal speed- I want your laptop XD.

Re the problems- DS emulation is obviously pretty new (in part given that no one here had heard of one existing) but the completeness of the emulation is roughly that of the early days of N64 emulation (which hasnt improved a whole lot because well no one cares about the n64 lol :D )
Here's just a sample of what I recorded.

Sorry, no sound.

Its running at x2 speed for the intro.  Bot battles are not smooth but they run pretty well when adjusted to normal speed.  The sensitivity is way too high and I can't find a good button configuration for this game.  So far I have
W-Up
A-Left
S-Down
D-Right
Space- Shoot (L/R)
E- Boost (L/R)

It's still quite uncomfortable.  Version 2.4c came out I think, I have 2.4b so the game might work better on that version.  Oh yeah, some graphics are missing in some arenas like in Ice Hive in the area where you get the Deathalt, the ice ramp is missing but you can still walk on it.

Some games that dont work right may require the nintendo DS BIOS, just so you know. I dont know if this has anything to do with the problem with the adventure mode intro or not.
Do any of the other (gunship) movies work? It could be a problem with the decoder running hyper-slow, or crashing entirely? For example, does FFIII work, it's opening movie is an actimagine thing.
Bangaa Bishop
The intro video that shows all the hunters works just fine. Not sure why the single player intro video locks the game up.

Edit, there seems to be a new version, see if it helps.
Wierd...
Is there any way to 'cheat' (if you know what I mean) to deactivate all the movies?
EDIT|Might try tonight on my machine, what would I get for 2Ghz?

Doubtful, though the emulator does support cheats.
Why doubtfull?
With the cheats you have total control of the memory, so it is very possible that there is a flag to skip the intro.

EDIT: could you use a real DS save-file, to 'skip' the intro? I know some emus support that.

it might be possible though I wouldnt know how to do it. :)
Neither would I.
You may be able to trip the 'movie finished' state: Anyone skilled enough to try?
Bangaa Bishop
I think the only real option to bypassing this issue is to find some way to get a game save off the DS card, or a cheat (the emulator does support cheats, but I dont know much about this), or wait for the emulation to get betterl.
