Also, important thing to anyone who plays. Turn Elective mode and advanced tooltips on. Standard tooltips are not useful, and elective mode lets you choose your skill setup more freely.
I'll be playing as my Barbarian later this afternoon once our copies arrive. Going to go through the game solo to get the story before diving into Nightmare alongside my brother who is going to be a Witch Doctor to start with. Should be an interesting combo to say the least.
heh my brother's playing a witch doctor too. looking forward to going through the game with him.
has anyone else been getting really weird graphical/gameplay glitches? sometimes my wizard randomly won't be able to use spells, enemies will disappear, and other stuff. also getting some loading problems when revisiting areas. let's hope for a patch soon!
I haven't had any such problems yet. The only thing that has happened a couple of times is that the game jumps back half a second or so. So I'll be walking someplace and I'll get warped back a few inches to where I were previously. That's only happened 2-3 times though, and nothing serious ever comes with it.
I'm really digging all the cutscene stuff they put in. Hopefully that won't slow down too much later in the game, I hate having to read quest text. I blame WoW for that.
question, are some of the quests optional? I went on a five-hour D3 binge this morning since I couldn't sleep. About halfway in Act II.
Specific quest question below, not spoilery but hiding it anyway
So when you get into the jails before getting into the torture chambers, a lady holding her head gives you a quest to put all the bodies to rest. Was this an optional quest? iirc it had nothing to do with the story and completing it didn't open up the next room. she was like "kthx now kill this fat sekeleton".
Really enjoying the dialogue so far. I'm finding myself switching party members often just to hear the little bits they say to each other, although all the Scoundrel does is hit on my mage.
I've noticed that quite a bit, I'll find the door to go to the next area, but I hate having an incomplete map so I'll just run around the entire place uncovering it all, stumblinginto locked doors and houses.
shame they don't have optional bits, but I'm enjoying all the main stuff too much to care.
