I remember reading a FAQ on the DDR series, and there was a section on injures (like blisters, dehydration, etc.)... it was almost as scary as those side effect listings.
I've been DDRing a bit more lately, probably cause i've been stuck at a house with DDR constantly. I'm finally actually improving, been able to do some songs i've never been able to do before. All i have left between Max2 and original Max are: Rythm and police (Can probably pass shortly) Angelic Mix (See above) Max 300 (almost, almost>_<) MaxX unlimited (holy flickerbat ) and that lovingly annoying pain in the ass, So deep.
IMO Maxx Unlimited is easier than Max 300, mainly because it's less tiring. The song just looks more complicated than M300. Try going into training mode and listening to the song + clap. Learning the rythm helps a ton.
Anyone else have Extreme. *Looks at EP*. If so I'm wondering if you have played the mission modes. A lot of them (the 1st 50 at least) are fairly easy. All except for mission 50. It took me 76 tries to beat it. 1 took about 30, 2 took about 30, 2 took about 15, and everything else took less than 7. Mission 50 made me consider breaking my dance pad by stomping on it REAL HARD!! <_<
hm, DDR, i've never played it, My parants probably think its stupid, and i'm too embarrased to play at the arcade (is there an arcade where i live???), plus, my antendo gremloid friends are getteing on my nerves (every other sentance out of there mouths is "nitendo sucks")...meh, sounds like I should try...if i can last longer then 5 seconds...but it will get me in shape...*looks at fat belly*
glad I don't live in Wyoming kinda sucks that there is only ONE...
but still, there's the problem of getting there, i could wait 2 years, when i get my car...or try to convince my parents to let me go to the arcade...(they'll be all like "you allready got games at home! play those, play that metroid game you love so much!")

Me, and all my friends, think your completely crazy for this comment.
The DDR machine at my local arcade recently switched ROMs from MAX to 3rd, for some bizarre reason. (Both are obviously the Japanese versions; and the stage is still the same.) They at least changed the title header, which is more than I can say for another one I saw at a movie theatre arcade... it was labeled Extreme, but it was 5th or less (characters, crappy-by-todays-standards low polygon models).
Been playing Dancing Stage Unleashed for around a month and a half (once a week at most, too, it's my friend's game). I consider myself pretty good. Two weekends ago I passed MAX 300 on Standard, and last week I WOULD have gotten a C on Can't Stop Fallin' in Love (Speed Mix), Heavy, if I didn't totally spaz out and miss every step during the last 5 seconds...
Next target: Unlocking PARANOiA Rebirth. I'm awesome at Eternal on Standard, but Heavy is... trickier than Heavy usually is, it seems...
Then, MAX 300. Damn, I wish I had MAXX Unlimited, I'm in love with the sound of that song...
[edit] Sam-Mag, I think you're talking about Healing Vision. RevenG (another of Naoki's 3465 aliases) made it. The one that starts out slow, then goes fast, then does the heartbeat things? The Angelic mix freaks me out... the whole heartbeat thing throughout the song has very noticable impact on me, mentally... I have no idea why, though... But I'm liking it more and more. Too bad the Heavy steps make me hurt. [/edit]
I just recently got DDR Extreme, and so far, on the mission modes, the main ones I've had trouble on are the ones where you HAVE to do badly and pass... it's really annoying, after I've trained my feet to get the vast majority perfects, to have to intentionally get goods... hitting them off beat has a tendency to result in almosts, so right now I have every one of the first fifty unlocked, but can't unlock any of the hard mode ones... and the last couple of the first 50 are hard... quite hard... probably the one that I've completed that was the most strange was 38(?)(absolute with the varying tempo)... the speeding up and slowing down and speeding up and slowing down... that took some getting used to... mission mode is fun, it's about all I've played since I unlocked it :D
Sorry about the block of text, I just kind of felt like rambling...
Edit: Wow, I feel dumb... guess I should've given number 49 another chance... that was pathetic... OK, never mind about 49 being hard

Just wait till 80 or 90 something. You must pass the song witho 0 points. o_O Stupid greats.
HATE that song... I used to play FFR a year ago or something. My favorite thing to do was trying to full-combo RainDrops... first time I tried it at school, on a slightly better computer, I got almost all perfects on the first try... Then I realized it just wouldn't work on my PC, so I stopped playing. Now I practice on Dance With Intensity when I'm not playing on my friend's pad.
Yesterday, Tsugaru got owned on heavy for the first time. A C isn't bad! Damn, that song is so much fun!
Good job, then. Actually, I haven't played FFR at all for a long time. That was my first try in literally months. Seem to have improved by not playing, which is strange. Then again, the exact same thing happened with this sorta thing... I sucked at them and hated them and didn't play for several years, then suddenly tried again and owned. Very weird.
[EDIT]
Quote from TRH:
Edit: .. 8% of the score record holder? geez.. thats not much
I'm almost positive he cheated. All the other records are only a little bit above my score, and his totally dwarfs all of theirs. And I almost got an absolutely prefect run, too. [/EDIT]

those things are teh eaz :D
Wind Waker forced me to learn how to deal with them in order to see if there was a Heart Piece after all of them.. turned out not to, what a waste of time.
