Is takes too long : O !?!? This seems rather questionable
Um. IS takes about a minute to set up. One minute of doing nothing except rolling in place is a lot of time <_<

I plan on making the first complete TAS please nobody ruin that lol xD
And you want to hold off on that. First of all, making an optimized TAS will be absolute hell, though if you're serious, you want to poke itspersonnal about it.
Second, you shouldn't touch TASing metroid prime 1/2 until dolphin with an accurate loading time is made. Otherwise you're just wasting your time. So don't bother.
And if you don't know what I'm talking about with loading times... You shouldn't consider TASing this game until you read up on things from tasvideos.org <_<
Can someone explain the inputs for the ghetto jump just before plasma and also leftward space jump early those are the only two tricks I can't do on console, they are the two hardest tricks in the game for me

SJF left is also one of the hardest tricks in the game. Period.
You reeeeeeeally don't need to post the same thing repeatedly <_<
Also, what do you mean by exact inputs? It's just a ghetto jump. If you want advice for practicing it, wait for miles to respond, or PM him. If you want TAS inputs, then IDK, find it out yourself, but again you shouldn't bother with working on a full-game TAS until (if) dolphin with proper loading times comes out <_<
Also, we realize you're really eager to play and learn this game and work on it, but people aren't going to respond instantly, and it's only going to get very annoying if you just post 4 times of the same thing within 15 minutes. Be patient :)
Lol IBBF is 10 million times easier than Leftward early space jump xD I could spend days just dashing off the ship listening to Tallon IV music but I don't mind since that world is easily the best alongside phendrana drifts xP but Magmoor pissed me off falling in lava and having to climb all the way back up to fall again and again someone help ; D
i think you guys are underestimating the limits of this game. >_> a fully optimized TAS wallcrawl would combine aetherjumping with rodeo jumps, i can imagine saving tons of time like that, still its slower than inbounds movement, but not by that much. because, a perfect TAS movement OoB, would be able to enter the aether for 1 frame, (it would move at a very very tight angle to the aether here) maintain the speed of the rodeo jump and continue accilerating forever, so i think you could theoretically move even faster than scandashing. Also you can actually use r-dashes like rodeo jumps.
no idea what route to pick for TAS, also why not make a TAS without loading times, it would be really awesome to watch it though.
not gonna do that TAS, i highly doubt a fully optimized TAS will ever exist of this game, it would take too much work, you'd need a lot of knowlege about the game and its just too complicated to make it right. a TAS would have to be played by a person who actually speedruns this game and who exactly knows how movement exactly works and theres only a handful of people who do so.
Rodeo jumping is not faster than scan dashing, even theoretically <_< Still, I already pointed out that the speed of wallcrawling would be significantly sped up with TAS, though it will still be considerably slower than in-bounds movement.

Kirby ily but I promise you a TAS can move faster out of bounds than you realise >.>
Er, I'm saying a TAS moves way faster OoB than humanly possible, but it'll still be slower than in-bounds? Unless you're suggesting wallcrawling has faster movement than boost ball + nonstop scan dashing?
you guys are in a moot argument. It completely depends on the set of rooms you are wallcrawling through as too whether oob or in bounds is faster. Other determiners are whether you have boost ball by the time you would be doing the wallcrawl since then in bounds speeds change. The set of rooms would have to be thoroughly tested under the wanted conditions and then probably retested a month later cause you will likely think of something else to speed up both.
we really just need someone to make a shitty TAS that beats the current human record by a little bit so people will be like, wow that is shit I can beat that and do. Someone just needs to get the engine started.
Edit: What exactly is wrong with dolphin for TASing the game? Never really TASed anything so I don't know what is expected here
Nothing is really wrong for dolphin for TASing. Several gamecube TAS's already exist (007 Nightfire being one of the more impressive ones) since save states and frame advancing work correctly (as well as playback if you disable idle skipping)
Speaking of TAS: I figured out a new strat that's really fun for Flaahgra.
Not repeatedly... it requires a stupid amount of luck >.>
Also, is it possible to wall crawl past the power bomb debris leading into the PPC Phazon Mine's elevator? I'm writing up a new low% route and playing with possibilities

if you're fast enough it shouldn't require any luck

if you're referring to the debris past workstation then yes (would have to wallcrawl all the way from burning trail...)
