Crys: a date for this will be hard to set, seeing as there are still many videos to make, more people might want to jump on the project, and I'm hacking as well.
SuperKeenenBell: That really doesn't belong in this topic, you'll have MUCH better luck getting an anwser to your question in the Cliffhanger topic. ------------------ 3 segments are ready. Dmantra, Crys, and squishy_ichigo's segments are done, and we're already at 8 minutes. I might have to cut some out later depending on how long this video gets.
And we are going to need some awesome cool Super Metroid music! So any remixes or so should be linked to in this topic or sent to my E-mail. Thx guys for all the hard work!

I did mean an date for when your videos should be sent in. Not a date for this to be done. You really have to set a date and stand for it or this will never get done.
Well, I suppose the date to be set for SENDING IN VIDEOS, will be April 30. Which is plenty of time for those of you who said you need some time to get thigs done.
APRIL 30 2009
ok? there we go! * squishy scampers off to go do something else! *
edit: just noticed I never anwsered FPs question... opps! I'll be editting all the music in myself, so you can send it anyway you want. But no audio would make it easier;)
NOTE TO ALL If you want a certain song for your video send it to me! It should be Super Metroid Related of course!
Although there are other ways to do it, the standard procedure consists of using snes9x to record an .smv movie, replaying the movie, recording it as an avi, and then editing to your heart's content with whatever movie editor you like.

A little info for ZSNES users: You can record .zmvs as .avis by dumping the .zmv movie. However, a few extra tools are needed for this, and SNES9x would probably be easier and faster to record with.
I would add (again) that users of ZSNES are still better off using snes9x to record movies, as it's so much easier. You don't need to feel like you're defecting or anything, as you can still play all of your ROMs with ZSNES, but using snes9x for the sake of however-many minutes while you record a movie is a lot less hassle.
